There's more than enough drama to go around in every city of Bravo's The Real Housewives franchise, and it can be easy to forget that the women are supposed to be close friends. Every season features at least one blow-out fight, a trip that goes sideways and fast, and countless small arguments.

There are many movies that fans of these reality TV series would be happy to watch on a Saturday night when chilling at home. These films examine similar themes of friendship or wealth, and they're all worth checking out. Maybe even have a virtual watching party with your girlfriends — but no fighting.

Friends With Money

Jennifer Aniston has been in some great movies and one of her most fascinating is Friends with Money, which was released in 2006. The film tells the story of Olivia (Aniston), who is part of a group of pals who have a much more comfortable lifestyle than she does.

Despite the heavy subject matter, the movie is really funny, and fans of the Real Housewives will enjoy the theme of whether money really does bring happiness.

Wine Country

The 2019 Netflix film Wine Country sees a group of best friends going on a trip together. They're each bringing quite a lot of baggage with them, so it doesn't exactly go as planned, but they still do their best to drink wine and laugh and have fun.

The women don't open up to each other at first and would rather put on airs and pretend that everything in their lives is fine. This is something that the ladies on the Real Housewives often do, as they want to be prim and proper and go on a nice trip or have a fancy dinner party. Of course, eventually, everyone starts being honest and vulnerable.

The First Wives Club

The 1996 movie The First Wives Club is a hilarious take on women getting revenge on the ex-husbands who broke their hearts.

Fans of the Real Housewives will love this film, as many of the women on the reality show have gotten divorced and this is often a topic of conversation. Viewers are familiar with Tamra Judge's fights, for instance, but she has also shared her story of her painful divorce from Simon.

Sex And The City 2

It might not have gotten great reviews, but Sex and the City 2 is about a group of friends going on a fabulous vacation to Abu Dhabi.

It's easy to picture the ladies of the Real Housewives going on a similar fabulous trip as they often have one big travel planned every season. They love shopping, sight-seeing, and long dinners — with lots of cocktails, of course.

Bridesmaids

Viewers of the Bravo franchise will recall that sometimes the ladies let loose on vacation or at a theme night at someone's house, and they will act just like the characters in Bridesmaids.

The Other Woman

Kind of like an updated The First Wives Club, 2014's The Other Woman stars Cameron Diaz, Kate Upton, and Leslie Mann. They realize that they've been dating the exact same guy and, of course, they're not pleased about that at all.

The women in this movie are spunky and fun, and they become friends with each other in the midst of such a difficult situation. Fans of the Real Housewives will love it as like the reality franchise, this movie is about women supporting women — when they're not fighting, that is.

Girls Trip

In the 2017 film Girls Trip, a group of friends (played by Tiffany Haddish, Jada Pinkett Smith, Queen Latifah, and Regina Hall) head to New Orleans.

It's a fun movie about friendship and one fans of the Real Housewives would enjoy as they already love seeing a group of women supporting each other and having a good time.

Edge Of Seventeen

Although it's a bit more serious than some other films about friendship, Edge Of Seventeen is still a really enjoyable watch.

The film tells the tale of two best friends who start fighting because one of them is dating the other's brother. Fans of the Real Housewives are all too familiar with friendship fights as many of the cast members have stopped speaking to each other at various times. This is especially true on RHOC, where Tamra Judge and Vicki Gunvalson have had a very rocky relationship.

Eat Pray Love

Fans of Julia Roberts love all her movies, including Eat Pray Lovethe adaptation of the bestselling memoir by Elizabeth Gilbert.

This is a truly fabulous story about a woman deciding to throw caution to the wind and go on a big vacation. Real Housewives fans who like to live vicariously through their fancy trips will do the same thing with this movie. Watching it feels like a nice break from real life.

Legally Blonde

Elle Woods from Legally Blonde is one of the most memorable movie characters ever, and the first movie in the franchise will always be the most popular with fans.

The movie is ultimately about one young woman's search for self and happiness. Elle realizes that all of the material things that she thought made her happy, like clothes and makeup and being popular, don't matter as much as being intelligent and nice and true to herself. That's a lesson that anyone can learn, and Real Housewives fans will relate to it as they prefer the moments when the ladies are kind to one another and help each other through the ups and downs of life.
