DJ confesses to Max that she felt similar as a child after her mother passed. To help him process his grief, the family watches home videos that include his dad. The moment becomes even sweeter when they find gifts Tommy Sr. hid in the house before he died.

Everyone goes to Japan for Steve and CJ’s wedding. However, things go awry when DJ accidentally confesses to Steve that he’s her soulmate. Things get even zanier when a fish swallows Steve’s wedding ring.

DJ jumps over a waterfall to chase the fish, and Steve jumps in after her. The two share an affectionate moment, realizing how much they mean to each other. They later break up with their significant others so they can be together. The scene is incredibly heartfelt and felt like a long time coming for fans.

After the events of Full House, Stephanie went on to live a life full of excitement and partying. But she finds herself wanting to settle down after moving into the Fuller household. Stephanie skips her trip to Italy, as she would rather be with her nephews.

But the scene takes a sad turn when Stephanie reveals she can never have children, even though she wants to be a mother. DJ and Stephanie hug while crying. However, the moment becomes happier when DJ tells her sister that her children are also Stephanie's.

Ramona And Jackson Consider One Another As Siblings

Jackson gets the lead in the school's play despite his lack of work ethic. This upsets Ramona, who got cast as his understudy. Jackson sees how much Ramona cares about the musical and pretends to be sick so she can perform.

At the beginning of the series, the two didn't want to live together. But Jackson tells Ramona he considers her as a sister, and she confesses that she feels the same way. Ramona encourages Jackson to perform in the play, as he earned it.

In the original series Full House, Kimmy's parents are mentioned but never seen. So when Joey announces that Mr. and Mrs. Gibbler's are coming to the engagement party, fans were as excited as Kimmy and Jimmy. Alas, they don't show up.

Kimmy confesses to Joey that she always considered the Tanners as her family, not her parents. Joey says he feels the same way. In a kind gesture, Joey offers to walk her down the aisle. Kimmy is overjoyed and agrees.

Stephanie Rediscovers A Memory Of Her Mother

While looking for her "something old" for her wedding, Stephanie realizes that she doesn’t have many memories of her mother, Pam. DJ and Kimmy come to the rescue by taking Stephanie to a diner. As they order, Stephanie recalls that she used to go to the restaurant with Pam as a child. 

The rest of the family joins them at the diner, cramming into one booth. Pam’s favorite song, “Build Me Up Buttercup,” plays on the jukebox. The whole group sings along and celebrates the upcoming wedding. 

Jackson Wears His Father's Suit

DJ wants to give away an old suit that belonged to her late husband. However, this idea angers Jackson. He thinks that DJ's replacing his dad with Steve now that they're engaged.

Steve tells Jackson that he has no intention of replacing his father. He only wants to love DJ and her sons. Steve gives Jackson his father's suit, which he had tailored to fit him. Jackson goes to the engagement party in the suit and embraces Steve as part of their family.

Stephanie Names Her Daughter After Danny

Stephanie arrives home from the hospital as a happy mother. At the baby-naming party, she announces her child's name. Stephanie names her after Danny, the person who taught her what it means to be a parent.

Her daughter's name is Danielle, "Dani" for short. Additionally, her middle name is Jo, so if someone called her "DJ," it would honor her sister. Lastly, Stephanie names Kimmy as the godmother, as she was Dani's surrogate mother. The women welcome Dani to the family by whispering the she-wolf howl.

DJ and Steve were high school sweethearts but broke up. But in Fuller House, the two find their way back to one another and fall in love again. In season 5, Steve proposes to DJ.

Fernando asks DJ to help him plan another proposal for Kimmy. However, DJ's surprised when the flash mob for Kimmy becomes about her. The whole family schemed so DJ would be surprised by Steve's proposal. The scene is heartwarming and also includes a montage of the couple's best moments.

The Last Scene

In the series finale, Stephanie and the Gibblers move out of the house. The episode is filled with many sentimental moments as the family says goodbye. But after everything's all packed up, Stephanie and Kimmy come back inside the house.

While Kimmy and Stephanie no longer have to live in the house, they tell DJ that they want to stay. They can't imagine raising their families anywhere else. DJ agrees and recites the show's catchphrase, "The door is always open."
