Hit sitcom Full House is one of those shows that makes people smile even just thinking about it. On the air for eight seasons from 1987 until 1995, it was always comforting. No matter what was going on, a fan could catch up with the Tanner family (plus Joey and Uncle Jesse, of course) and feel a lot better if they were having a bad day.

It's a show with famous catchphrases such as Jesse's "Have mercy" and Michelle's "You got it dude," but there are a lot of funny jokes that people don't recall quite so easily. Read on to find out 10 jokes that everyone completely missed on Full House.

"Germs take one look at my body and say 'Hey — why waste our time?'"

Dave Coulier as Joey Gladstone in Full House

Both Uncle Joey (Dave Coulier) and Jesse (John Stamos) have some funny catchphrases on the show, but they also say hilarious lines that aren't quite as well-known.

When Joey makes this joke in the Season 1 episode "A Pox in Our House," Jesse responds, "Women say the same thing." Fans might have missed this tiny moment between two favorite characters but it's definitely worth remembering. These two are known for teasing each other and having kind of a brotherly relationship, and this joke is one example of how funny they can be.

"D.J., go put Annie Oakley in her bunkhouse. Jesse, find a corral for Trigger. Joey, I’m out of cowboy metaphors, so let’s put away the grub. I was wrong, I had one more."

Danny Tanner cleaning in Full House

Danny (Bob Saget) makes this joke in the Season 1 episode "The Return of Grandma," and it really sums up his character. He loves nothing more than coming up with clever statements — okay, maybe he loves cleaning the house more.

Only Danny could pull off such a corny joke. He's basically the embodiment of "dad jokes," and if he can make his family members groan, especially his daughters, with his sense of humor, he's a happy camper.

"I hope you're not offended. But if you are, that's her father over there."

Uncle Jesse smiling at someone in Full House

Jesse makes this joke when Michelle tells a bodybuilder, "Hey, mister, you are very lumpy" in the Season 4 episode "Shape Up."

Michelle (Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen) is always adorable and like all little kids, she can't help but speak her mind. That would be funny enough since the bodybuilder had probably never been called "lumpy" before, but Jesse's response really completes the scene.

"Anybody wanna trade?"

D.J. (Candace Cameron Bure) is a pretty logical person, and she's always had a fairly good sense of humor, especially when dealing with her dad. She knows that he can get super cheesy and she loves him for it... but she can't help but stand up to him.

In the Season 5 episode "Happy Birthday, Babies," Danny says, "Michelle, you have to know no matter how old you get, you're always gonna be my little princess. Just like Stephanie's always gonna be my little lady bug. And D.J.'s always gonna be my little tennis ball head." DJ makes the hilarious joke, "Anybody wanna trade?," and it's a perfect moment.

"You went from Eddie Van Halen to Pee-Wee Van Herman."

This is another joke on Full House that everyone completely missed. When Jesse gets his hair cut in the Season 2 opener "Cutting It Close," Joey can't help but crack this joke.

It works for two reasons: Joey has awesome delivery and fans know that Jesse is so obsessed with his hair. If it doesn't look flawless at all times, he can't handle it.

"Haven't I been through enough?"

Jesse and Becky hugging on Full House

In the Season 2 episode "Fogged In," there is a ton of fog in San Francisco. Jesse and Joey have a jingle that they need to write for Casa de Pancakes that they're struggling with. No one is feeling very cheery or like their typical Full House selves.

When Danny asks, "D'you need a hug?," Jesse makes the joke, "Haven't I been through enough?" A running joke on the show is that Danny and Joey are much more touchy-feely than Jesse is, so this one-liner works well.

"You got a bad attitude."

Michelle Tanner stands in the Tanner kitchen and looks mischievous

Michelle is always ready with a sassy line, and this doesn't disappoint. In the Season 5 episode "Happy Birthday, Babies," she says to her friend Teddy, "This is Comet, my pet stegosaurus." He says "That's not a stegosaurus! That's a Golden Retriever" and she says, "You've got a bad attitude."

This is a hilarious joke and while it's not her signature "You got it, dude," it still has the same spunky energy.

"Actually it's Vicky 'I'm going to be here for four weeks, so get used to it' Larson."

Vicky and Danny smiling at each other on Full House

Vicky (Gail Edwards) and Danny are so serious about each other that they even get engaged, but that's all over when she moves to New York. Before that sad break-up happens, Vicky starts working with Danny on his morning show, Wake Up, San Francisco while Becky (Lori Loughlin) starts her family.

In the Season 5 episode "Nicky and/or Alexander," there's a really funny scene with Danny and Vicky on the show. When he says, "Wake up San Francisco. Hi I'm Danny Tanner and temporarily filling in for my co-host, Rebecca 'Hurry back soon' Donaldson. is Vicky Larson." She responds, "Actually it's Vicky 'I'm going to be here for four weeks, so get used to it' Larson." Danny was being pretty unfair, so it's awesome that Vicky responds like this.

"...Now, is that too much to ask?! I DON'T THINK SO!"

It's about you guys being there for us. I mean, okay, so maybe we're a little over-emotional, and maybe we do get a little demanding, but that's because our hormones are running wild. I mean we're happy, we're sad, we're all hot, we're cold, we're huge! And all we want are ridgey potato chips and a nice slice of juicy watermelon with a side of Swiss chocolate. Now, is that too much to ask?! I DON'T THINK SO!

Becky is pregnant in the Season 5 episode "Take My Sister, Please," and she goes on a hilarious rant.

It would have been easy to miss it since the twins are so cute and fans might remember them better than the episodes when Becky is expecting, but she makes this funny joke. She definitely knows that she's being picky about her food but, hey, she's pregnant.

"Joseph and I must deal with your misconduct, young lady!"

"'Misconduct'? 'Young lady'? I really am turning into my father. If I start wearing a white belt and shoes to match, throw me down the stairs."

Uncle Jesse makes this joke in the Season 1 finale "D.J. Tanner's Day Off" when D.J. skips school to go see a singer who she loves. It's hilarious to listen to Jesse realize that he's talking in a much more formal, strict manner than usual. And this is just one of many jokes on Full House that are truly funny, even if some viewers don't remember them.
