John Stamos shares a throwback image of him and the Olsen Twins, proving that there is no bad blood between the former Full House co-stars. The actor played Uncle Jesse in the family sitcom, and while he had a great relationship with all of the Tanner kids, he had a special bond with Michelle, played alternately by Mary-Kate and Ashley. However, ever since the Olsens refused to reprise their role in the Netflix spin-off, Fuller House, there have been rumors that Stamos had a falling out with the ex-child stars.

All of Full House's primary cast members came back to reprise their respective roles in the offshoot, apart from the youngest Tanner sister. Despite talks about the pair potentially returning before the show premiered in 2016, and after it dropped its season 1, Michelle never appeared in Fuller House. There had been conflicting information about what really happened behind the scenes, as at one point, the sisters supposedly seriously considered revisiting their acting roots for the spin-off. But a series of reported miscommunications resulted in the Olsen Twins sticking to their original decision to skip the reunion.

Stamos did comment about the matter several times. In a few instances, he even seemed to have shaded Mary-Kate and Ashley for not returning as Michelle for Fuller House, which he also produced. But now, it seems like the actor isn't holding any grudges for the sisters, as he posted a throwback image of them together from when the Olsens watched him perform as "the shape-shifting Emcee in the Broadway production of CABARET." Michelle was a major draw in the original Full House, and not seeing Danny's (Bob Saget) youngest daughter throughout Fuller House's five-year run was disappointing. Mining inspiration from the Olsen Twins' real-life job,  Michelle was apparently now based in New York, running her own fashion empire. In the first few seasons of the spin-off, the show actively tried to incorporate the character into its storytelling. But as it became clear that the Olsen Twins really had no intentions of partaking in the reunion project, the Netflix production also noticeably started mentioning her less. In fact, even as her sisters, DJ (Candace Cameron-Bure) and Stephanie got married at the same time in the Fuller House finale, there wasn't any explanation as to why Michelle wasn't involved in any way.

For the most part, the cast of Full House has been supportive of the Olsen Twins' decision to not appear in Fuller House. But, it's also obvious that there was some disappointment on their part, especially since Michelle could've been a big part of the spin-off. Perhaps it would've been better if Netflix opted to recast the Olsens' Michelle, but this no doubt would have been jarring for long-time fans of the show, given their memorable performances. Ultimately, it's good to see that the Full House stars are still real-life friends, even if they no longer share the screen.
