It's hard to think of a sitcom that feels more '90s than Full House. It has all the elements of that time period: awkward hairstyles and big clothing, corny plotlines, and a laugh track. For eight seasons, viewers got to know the Tanner family as widower Danny Tanner raised three daughters with the help of his best friend and brother-in-law. Lessons were learned by the end of each episode and the characters always managed to have some fun, even when experiencing the tough parts of life and growing up.

The Full House home is beautiful, which is just one reason why this show is still beloved now. It's fun to think about which actors would be cast as Danny, Jesse, Joey, and the rest of the gang if this sitcom was rebooted in 2020.

Steve Hale: Dylan Minnette

Steve (Scott Weinger) is D.J.'s main love interest. While this character can be very confusing, it's hard not to find him adorable.

Dylan Minnette has taken on more dramatic roles such as Clay in 13 Reasons Why and Logan in the Netflix horror movie The Open House. It would be great to see him on a family-friendly sitcom, and he has a similar look to Steve.

Vicky Larson: Mary Steenburgen

Danny and Vicky fall in love, but reality gets in the way of their romance and they don't stay together. Gail Edwards played the character on the original series, and if the show was made today, Mary Steenburgen would make a perfect Vicki. Even though she doesn't have kids of her own, Vicky always seems sweet and maternal, just like Steenburgen's characters.

The actress has had many dramatic and comedic roles over the years. She was very strong as the mom on Joan of Arcadia and showcased her top-notch comedic timing in Book Club.

Kimmy Gibbler: Emma Stone

When casting Kimmy Gibbler, D.J.'s quirky best friend played by Andrea Barber, the actress needs to have a sweet but goofy quality.

Emma Stone has played both funny and dramatic parts, and it would be fun to see her on a sitcom. She could embody Kimmy's energy really well. Stone's characters are often very confident and sure of themselves, which is exactly what Kimmy is like.

Michelle Tanner: Mia And Ella Allan

Mia and Ella Allan played twins Emma and Amy on Single Parents and they have a host of other acting roles under their belts.

They would do a fantastic job as Michelle Tanner, originally played by Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen. These actresses are great at one-liners and funny sayings, which is definitely a requirement since Michelle has a number of catchphrases.

DJ Tanner: Kathryn Newton

Known for portraying Allie on The Society, the Netflix drama that only got a single season, Kathryn Newton is a talented young actress who would be a great choice for D.J. Tanner (Candace Cameron Bure).

Both characters are strong, independent, and just a bit of rebellious. D.J. has some trouble dealing with her strict dad and she wants a lot more freedom than she's given.

Stephanie Tanner: Julia Butters

Stephanie Tanner (Jodie Sweetin) always has something hilarious to say, and while she becomes easily frustrated by the trials of growing up (and dealing with her siblings), she loves being part of her warm, cozy family unit.

Julia Butters, who was recently replaced as Anna-Kat on American Housewife, has perfect comedic timing and is used to acting alongside an ensemble cast.

Aunt Becky: Jennifer Morrison

Although Lori Loughlin's Full House character Becky hasn't aged very well, she's the perfect match for Uncle Jesse and the show would be very different without her.

Jennifer Morrison is perfect as Emma Swan on Once Upon a Time and she would be great as Becky, who is nice but also very tough and fair when she needs to be.

Uncle Joey: Keegan-Michael Key

Keegan-Michael Key is a hilarious, talented actor, and he would do a phenomenal job as Uncle Joey.

Originally played by Dave Coulier, this character is goofy, kind, and does things his own way. He's a great foil for the rigid Danny and vain Jesse and he brings a lot of energy to the Tanner household.

Uncle Jesse: Jon Cho

Jon Cho could definitely be cast as Uncle Jesse if Full House was made today. He has played both dramatic and funny roles.

This famous character, played by John Stamos, is handsome and has hilarious quotes. He's obsessed with his hair and does his best to fit in with the Tanner family, even if he struggles at first.

Danny Tanner: Josh Radnor

Bob Saget was the narrator on How I Met Your Mother, which was a fun treat for Full House fans. Why not have Josh Radnor, who became famous for playing Ted on HIMYM, play Danny if this family sitcom was cast today?

Radnor has a very likeable quality that would work well for Danny. Even though Danny confuses fans, he's still a charming character who does his best to raise his daughters when he really has no idea what he's doing.
