Anna and Elsa are two of Disney's most passionate, determined, and driven characters. Their time in Frozen and Frozen 2 has been full of action, adventure, and compassion. It's no wonder that their adventures have struck a chord with so many fans.

These sisters are a dynamic duo, and as such, they've done some seriously badass things in just the past two years alone. Anna is a powerful moving force thanks to her stubbornness, determination, and empathy. Meanwhile, Elsa is quite literally powerful, full of magic she can hardly control. And that has led us to create this list; the ten most badass things that Anna and Elsa have ever done.

This list contains spoilers from Frozen 2.

Anna: Rushing Off After Her Sister (Despite the Danger)

Anna and Elsa in Frozen 2

After that dramatic introduction in Frozen, Anna didn't hesitate to rush off into the mountains after her sister. And that's despite not having any experience with the outside world (remember, she was basically locked in a castle her whole life) or with mountains. And that's without taking into account all of the dangerous amounts of cold and snow she had to face in order to get anywhere near her sister.

The truth of the matter is, even if Anna had a better understanding of all of the danger she was running into, she would have done it anyway. Because that's just the type of person she is.

Elsa: Creating A Castle Out of Nothing

Frozen 2 Elsa

While we're talking about the earlier parts of Frozen, let's talk about Elsa's power, shall we? Elsa clearly has some control issues, thanks to the way her parents tried to force her to suppress her powers. And yet she was able to create something as beautiful and intricate as that castle of ice.

It's stunning. It's also massive. We don't have much to compare it to, but the amount of power that must have gone into it is staggering. And that she was able to make it full of details at the same time – it's extremely impressive. Part of us hopes that the ice castle survived that great thawing she caused.

Anna: She's Always Doing What Is Right

Frozen 2 Anna and Olaf

Anna is one of those characters who always does the right thing. It really doesn't matter what the danger or the cost is, she'll get it done. We've seen her stick to this mentality in both Frozen movies now. First, when she rushed off after her sister (to save both her sister and Iredell). And then we saw it again with all of the events that happened during Frozen 2 (more on those in a moment).

That might not sound like a badass thing, but it totally is. Anna's moral compass is unshakable, as is her willingness to give up just about everything of herself to take care of those she loves. This is a trait that doesn't get enough credit, so we're doing that here.

Elsa: Freezing the Fjord

Once again we're astounded by the sheer amount of power that Elsa is able to produce. And yes, we know that technically speaking, freezing the fjord was not a good thing. But you've got to admit; it was still pretty badass.

How many Disney princesses/queens do you know that can do that? Heck, Elsa did it without trying – literally. That was all an accident. An accident that allowed her to run away, but an accident nonetheless. And it's super impressive.

Anna: Fighting Off Angry Wolves

Back to the quest, Anna started when she went chasing after her sister. Anna ended up coming up against a whole lot more threats and danger than she had originally anticipated. And one of those dangers came in the form of wolves.

All things considered, Anna did a solid job of keeping herself calm and under control. Yes, she did almost set Kristoff on fire, but she didn't! And that attack ended up giving them a huge edge that they needed in order to get away.

Elsa: Waking the Spirits

Warning: Frozen 2 spoilers ahead. One of the big cascading events that Elsa caused all started off with her innocently singing to and with a disembodied voice. Yes, it sounds weird. But this is Elsa we're talking about.

That entire song is both beautiful and powerful. And it may have accidentally awakened the spirits of the forest. Yes, that's right. Elsa accidentally woke an entire segment of sleeping elemental spirits. And all because she was singing and letting her power reign a bit freer than usual.

Anna: An Act of True Love

The whole first movie Anna was running about desperately trying to find love and companionship. But it wasn't until the end of the movie that Anna realized that she didn't need love in order to do what was right, because she herself had plenty of love to give.

And it was that love that caused her to sacrifice herself. She willingly gave up her chance to save herself, instead spending her last moments saving her sister's life. That act also ended up saving Anna in the process, but she certainly didn't know that. And it was a seriously moving and badass moment, if we may say so.

Elsa: Saving Iredell

Frozen 2 Elsa at Ahtohallan

Twice now Elsa has saved Iredell from the disasters that magic could have caused. The first time she admittedly had to save her city from herself; using the love of her sister she was able to thaw the fjord and city and bring them all peace again.

At the end of Frozen 2, both Elsa and Anna realized that something drastic had to be done. The dam that was draining the power (and water) away from the forest had to be destroyed. Unfortunately, the massive surge of water would almost certainly destroy Iredell in the process.

But that wasn't the case. Elsa raced across the ocean on a horse of water and ice in order to save the town that she was charged to protect.

Anna: Ticking Off the Giants & Blowing Up the Dam

One of Anna's most badass moments ever occurred towards the end of Frozen 2. After realizing that the dam needed to be broken, Anna decided that drastic measures needed to be taken. And apparently that meant it was time to tick off some giants.

Yep, you read that right. Anna angered the giants and led them straight towards the dam. Her goal was clear; get the giants to accidentally destroy the dam for her. It was an effective, yet risky, decision.

Elsa: Diving Headlong Into Danger For Answers

Frozen 2 Water Spirit Nokk

And the final item on our list; in Frozen 2 Elsa threw herself headlong in order to get answers and the truth she so desperately wanted. This whole series of events was passionate and badass, from start to finish.

First, Elsa took on the storming seas themselves. This was the iconic scene shown during the trailers. Then she tamed an angry water horse (literally, a horse made of water). And then finally, she entered the river of ice in order to finally learn the truth. And she didn't once take her safety into account. That was secondary to everything else going on. It was the drum solo of the movie, with Elsa showing off everything her power had to offer.
