Disney unveils a new Frozen 2 poster ahead of the movie's full trailer debuting. In 2013, Walt Disney Animation Studios released Frozen, introducing the world to the princesses of Arendelle, sisters Elsa (Idina Menzel) and Anna (Kristen Bell). The movie followed both sisters after Elsa leaves Arendelle, with the kingdom stuck in a state of perpetual winter thanks to her mysterious powers, and Anna goes on a mission to bring Elsa back. Along the way, Anna befriends the snowman-come-to-life Olaf (Josh Gad), the iceman Kristoff (Jonathan Groff) and his reindeer Sven.

Upon release, Frozen reviews were overwhelmingly positive from critics and moviegoers alike, propelling the movie to major box office success. In fact, Frozen earned more than $1 billion at the worldwide box office. As a result, Disney put a Frozen sequel into development, though it's taken six years for the followup to come to fruition. Now, after the Frozen 2 teaser trailer was released earlier this year, offering fans their first look at the older Anna, Elsa and Kristoff, Disney continues the film's marketing push.

Disney unveiled the full Frozen 2 poster, featuring Anna and Elsa in some foggy woods, a setting that was featured in the teaser trailer, and confirmed the new trailer premieres tomorrow morning on Good Morning America. Good Morning America airs from 7-9am ET on ABC. Check out the Frozen 2 poster below.

The Frozen 2 poster doesn't necessarily reveal anything new about the upcoming Disney animated sequel. Both Anna and Elsa are wearing the same costumes as in the first trailer, and the setting of the woods was also revealed in the teaser. Certainly, the fogginess of the location gives this Frozen 2 poster an ominous tone, perhaps foreshadowing the dangerous mission for the princesses. The sequel will see the sisters investigating where Elsa's powers originate from, according to the synopsis released by Disney:

Why was Elsa born with magical powers? The answer is calling her and threatening her kingdom. Together with Anna, Kristoff, Olaf and Sven, she'll set out on a dangerous but remarkable journey. In Frozen, Elsa feared her powers were too much for the world. In Frozen 2, she must hope they are enough.

Previously reported Frozen 2 plot details indicate the journey will have something to do with Anna and Elsa's parents, who died in a shipwreck, as explained in Frozen. Whether that's truly the case remains to be seen. Frozen fans have theorized that there's more to Elsa's powers that will be explored in the sequel, with theories positing Elsa's mother had powers and/or that there are other princesses with seasonal-themed powers elsewhere in the world.

While fans may need to wait until Frozen 2 hits theaters in November to uncover all the mysteries of this world, they'll no doubt be able to gain some insight into the Frozen sequel when the trailer hits. Thankfully, fans don't have to wait much longer for the Frozen 2 trailer since it arrives tomorrow.
