A new trailer for Frozen 2 is set to release on Monday. Directed by Chris Buck and Jennifer Lee, Frozen took the world by storm back in 2013. Kristen Bell and Idina Menzel led the animated feature which went on to become a massive box office success, taking in nearly $1.3 billion worldwide on a $150 million budget. Considering the heaps of praise thrown at the movie and its monumental success at the box office, the announcement of a sequel back in 2015 came as no surprise. The highly-anticipated follow-up from Walt Disney Animation Studios is now gearing up to hit theaters this Thanksgiving and is said to take place three years after its predecessor.

Frozen 2's story will expand on the first film by exploring where Elsa got her powers from and what happened to her and Anna's parents. Menzel and Bell are returning to their roles as Elsa and Anna, respectively, along with Jonathan Groff returning as Kristoff and Josh Gad as Olaf. It was announced at D23 that Evan Rachel Wood and Sterling K. Brown had also joined the cast as Elsa and Anna's mother, Queen Iduna, and Lieutenant Matthias, respectively. Previously released trailers for the film have given fans very brief glimpses into Disney's latest animated adventure, but it looks like there will be even more to dig into next week.

According to GMA, a new trailer for Frozen 2 will be unveiled on Monday. The program will be the first to showcase the new trailer and shared the news in a quick clip on their Twitter page. Check it out here:

The trailers and teasers that have already been released have shown off a beautiful new world that these characters will be exploring, but not a whole lot about the plot. Although lucky fans at D23 got to see new footage of the upcoming film, along with an epic new ballad for Elsa titled "Into the Unknown", others have been waiting patiently to see some new looks at the project. Hopefully, this new trailer will provide a few more details into the story and give eagerly awaiting fans a look at some of the new characters, especially Queen Iduna and Lieutenant Matthias. Queen Iduna, obviously, plays a big role in Elsa and Anna's past, but it'll be interesting to see where Lieutenant Matthias fits into the narrative.

Frozen 2 already appears to be a gorgeous and ambitious feat for the team at Walt Disney Animation Studios. The vibrant colors and intricate details are easily some of the most eye-catching parts of the trailers, but the scale of it all is just as, if not more, impressive. The opening shot alone from the teasers and trailers of Elsa using her powers to climb a series of waves shows that Frozen 2 is shaping up to be a grandiose adventure that will surely be another successful notch in Disney's belt. This new trailer will, hopefully, show off more of the stunning designs, but also give a little more insight into the story along with the new characters.
