New Trailer & Images Sent 'From Paris With Love'

I've been keeping an eye on From Paris With Love for a few months now. The film was directed by Pierre Morel, who happened to helm a little film called Taken. The first teaser trailer for Paris appeared as far back as over a year ago, with the first poster appearing just last summer. The first trailer looked fun from what we could see, but it wasn't all that well put together and didn't exactly sell the film well.

The red-band trailer was a vast improvement though, as we got to see some of the real hardcore stuff the green-band trailers aren't allowed to show you (unfortunately the red-band got pulled by the studio shortly after release).

But now we have a new trailer for From Paris With Love, which, apart from an annoying voice-over making it seem like some cheap straight-to-DVD movie, looks pretty damn crazy.

Check out the trailer below:

As a bonus, here's a couple of images from the movie, thanks to Latino Review:

It looks like John Travolta is following his crazy hostage taker role in The Taking of Pelham 123 with another crazy role, this time shaving his head, grooming a goatee and shooting everyone in sight instead of shouting down a walkie-talkie for a couple of hours. Some of the dialogue is a bit clunky and it looks completely ridiculous and over-the-top, but I still can't help but think that this film looks like a lot of crazy fun.

From Paris With Love stars Travolta as a U.S. agent who is unwillingly teamed up with a lower-ranking younger agent (Jonathan Rhys Myers) to stop a terrorist attack in Paris. As I said, it comes to us courtesy of Pierre Morel, who directed Taken and District 13 and was also just announced as the one to helm the Dune remake.

Thoughts on the latest trailer for From Paris With Love? Does it look like a lot of crazy fun to you or just too over-the-top for your liking?

From Paris With Love is released on February 5th in the U.S., and on March 5th in the UK, both in 2010.
