While three-camera sitcoms have begun to die-down in the new streaming-dominant world, audiences still flock to said streaming-sites in order to rewatch the sitcoms that they loved from their pasts - one such show is Friends, the beloved comedy centered around six of the closest friends that anybody could ever have all living in Manhattan.

The 90's/early 2000s were certainly a different kind of time, in terms of television content, with new comedies popping-up left-and-right on primetime networks (they were cheap to make). With that said, Friends was something special and audiences knew it, immediately falling in love with the Central Perk 6 and developing favorite characters right from the start - but what does your favorite character say about you?

Mike Hannigan

Now Mike might not have been a member of the Central Park 6, but he was around for multiple seasons and eventually married into the family so he's sure to have more than a few fans out there. Aside from overcoming his fears of commitment and marrying Phoebe, Mike had quite an impressive resume since he was a practiced lawyer and also a professional piano player.

If Mike happens to be your favorite character then there's a high probability that you're a person who is intelligent and capable of many different crafts, but you may take your time in finding exactly what it is that you want out of life - both in your career and love-life. But rest assured, once you've made your decision you fit perfectly into whatever puzzle you ultimately choose to be apart of.

Gunther

Gunther in Friends

The most frequent recurring character for the entire series wasn't a family member or potential-spouse for one of the Central Perk 6 - it was Gunther, manager of the coffee house. No matter what the gang got into, whether it was the middle of summer or the peak of winter, Gunther was there to serve them a cup of coffee and a scone to go with it, always doing his best to get a glimpse of Rachel.

With Gunther as your favorite character, it's quite possible that you're a person who appreciates longevity and consistency. Or maybe you're a person who knows the difficulties of having a daily routine screwed-up and that having somebody who keeps the machine going every day is invaluable - and that's exactly what Gunther did, week-in and week-out, for his most loyal customers (mainly Rachel).

Ross Geller

Ross doing the unagi sign in Friends.

Ross was a character whose arc never strayed very far, mainly trying to succeed in making things work with Rachel, but there was much more to his character than being an awkward romantic. He was a father for almost the entirety of the series when he had a child with his ex-wife Carol, he was known as the geeky-scientist of the group due to his love of dinosaurs, and (of course) he was Monica's brother.

If Ross is your favorite character, you might be a person who appreciates the scientific-side of life and approaches things from a logical point-of-view, however, you're quite capable of making decisions based on emotions when it comes to things you're passionate about, such as your friends/family/career.

Rachel Green

Rachel in Friends

Rachel grew quite a bit as a character throughout the series, starting off as a runaway-bride who had had everything handed to her on a silver platter to a self-sufficient woman working at Ralph Lauren. Not only did she make strides in her career, but she also created a family for herself - first with her friends and then with Ross when they ultimately had Emma together.

So, if Rachel is your favorite friend to watch, it's probable you're a person who understands that a little support from the people around you is sometimes exactly what you need in order to pick yourself up. Not only that, but it will give you the tools to be a more supportive person in your own right.

Chandler Bing

Chandler in Friends

It's quite the task being the comedic relief in a sitcom but Chandler Bing was certainly up to the task. Forever known as the sarcastic member of the gang, Chandler was pretty childish at the beginning of the series and managed to grow into a more caring, empathetic person who ultimately became a husband and father when he never thought he would be.

With Chandler as your favorite character, perhaps you're a person who tries not to take life too seriously and is always trying to break any tension you might encounter with a little humor. Or, it could be that you relate to his ability to try new things despite having life-long fears of them.

Monica Geller

Much like her elder brother, Monica's character never strayed very-far in terms of what she wanted out of life - a husband and babies (and for things to be clean at all time). Aside from being a chef and working her way up to running her own restaurant, the main way Monica's character grew was her ability to look past Chandler's short-comings and realize that she had been missing out on something special by not giving him a chance.

If Monica happens to be your favorite character, you might be somebody who is capable of getting out of your own way and taking chances at things that others around you might criticize or make fun of you for. But rest assured, you're tough as nails and secure enough in your choices to know that other people's opinions are irrelevant when it comes to your passions.

Phoebe Buffay

Phoebe talking to someone in Friends.

Phoebe was quite the memorable character as her story seemingly had no clear direction until she met Mike, very much a leaf-in-the-wind spirit who did and said as she pleased. Throughout the series, her main job was a massage therapist, but she was also known for having a rather graphic past with a mother that committed suicide and a twin-sister that disregarded Phoebe at every turn.

So, if Phoebe is your favorite member of the Central Perk 6, it's a safe bet that you might be a little more quirky in nature than most, however that shouldn't be mistaken for lack-of-intelligence - you're merely a go-with-the-flow kind of person and feel no need to bind yourself with absolutes in any given situation.

Joey Tribbiani

Despite being remembered as arguably the most childish member of the main-group, Joey's character did a lot more growing than most audiences seem to realize. He started off the series being almost completely dependent on Chandler just to get by, but he never gave up on his dreams and became a semi-famous soap-opera star (largely due to his friends' support).

With Joey being your favorite character, it's possible that you might enjoy looking at life through the lens of a child, never trying to take anything too seriously. However, you're also a person who uses that standpoint to your advantage which creates a joyous, prosperous life for yourself and the friends/family who supported you during tough times (you might also really like pizza and not sharing it).
