The popular television series Friends ended with a two-part finale back in 2004, but fans of the show probably have not forgotten much about it. In fact, it seems like it is nearly just as popular these days as it was back then.

Since the show went on for so long, there are a lot of interesting facts about it. One of those facts is that there are many episodes that have tiny details that some might not have noticed right away. There are many things in the last episode that probably were not that noticeable to fans when it first aired. Here are some of them.

Monica's Apartment Was Once A Home For All Of Them

In the last episode, which is called “The Last One: Part Two,” it is revealed that all of the main characters have lived in Monica Geller’s apartment at one point or another. That might sound obvious, but the series only actually shows some of them living there, so that was a surprise that the writers threw in at the very end.

The character that lived there prior to the events that were actually shown on-screen is Ross. The final episode of Friends suggests that he was residing in that apartment at one point along with his grandmother. Because of the amount of time the group spends there, this apartment is almost as much of a character in the show as Ross, Rachel, Monica, Joey, Chandler, and Phoebe are.

There Was Something Special About Ross And Rachel’s Kiss In That Episode

In the last episode of Friends, the music that can be heard when Ross and Rachel share a kiss for the final time during the series is the same music that plays during their first kiss, which took place in the second season of the show.

Fans that did not already know this might want to go back and check out both of those episodes. For those that do not know, the first episode that shows them share a kiss is called “The One Where Ross Finds Out.” In both instances, the kisses are significant because they are the first and the last on-screen kiss shared by the iconic couple in the show, and using the same music brings it full circle.

Courtney Cox Was Hiding A Baby Bump

Those who watched the final episode of Friends were probably too caught up in their emotions over the show ending to notice one very important thing: Courtney Cox was hiding her pregnancy on the show, and it was very obvious during this episode.

Even though a huge part of her character’s storyline revolved around infertility, the actress was actually pregnant in some episodes. She had to wear some baggy tops, but that did not hide the bump she was sporting during the finale. The actress ended up naming her child Coco and Jennifer Aniston is also Coco’s godmother.

A Pearl Jam Song Can Be Heard In The Series Finale

There were quite a few things that symbolized the end of the show in the last episode, and one of them was the fact that people who were listening and paying close attention to it noticed that part of Pearl Jam’s song “Yellow Ledbetter” could be heard in it at one point.

This might not make much sense to some people, but it is actually very fitting. Apparently, the band has been known to play that song to close their performances, so it makes sense to feature such a song in the last episode of this popular series.

It Shows Ross’s Bedroom

One of the things that the last episode of this series shows is Ross Geller’s bedroom. This probably does not sound like a big deal at first, but it really is. Most of the bedrooms that belonged to the other main characters on the series were frequently shown, but that was not the case with Ross.

His bedroom was only seen a few times throughout the entire series, and some of those were mostly just short glimpses of it here and there. His bedroom got some extra time on the camera during the last bit of the show.

Chandler References A Famous Film

In the final episode, Chandler Bing makes a reference to The Parent Trap. The fact that he would reference something like that is not particularly surprising, however. When it comes to all of the lead characters in the series, Bing is the one that usually makes all of the movie and television show references. In this case, he was talking about splitting up the twins that he and Monica had just recently adopted.

Fans who are interested in knowing an even smaller (but no less interesting) detail about the Geller-Bing twins might like to know how much time took place between their fictional births: one arrived just over three minutes before the other one.

Rachel Wears A Lot Of Different Outfits In The Finale Episode

Keeping track of Rachel Green’s outfit changes throughout each episode of Friends can be hard since she has many, and she changes outfits three times in the finale episode alone. This is not an important detail, but it is something interesting that definitely adds to her character a bit.

Much of her life has always centered around fashion. At the beginning of the show's run, she simply loved to shop for clothes and she could not pass up a good deal. But as the series progressed, fashion became a much bigger part of her life, which would explain why clothes were still such a big deal for her at the end of Friends.

Ross Forgot That He Chased Multiple People Through An Airport

During the last episode of the show, it seems like Ross actually forgot about chasing Emily down at the airport earlier in the show. This becomes rather apparent when he is planning on doing that very thing with Rachel, and Phoebe asks whether or not he has done it before.

His response makes it seem as though he had never done anything like that before, but the truth is that he actually did, as mentioned above. Perhaps this is a small mistake that the writers made when they were trying to wrap up everyone’s storylines. Otherwise, that would not make much sense at all.

Some Red Paint Disappeared

There are many fascinating continuity errors that seem to have happened during the final episode of this series, and one of those is the fact that, at some point, some red paint that was on Joey actually disappears, and it does not seem like anyone notices.

But that is far from the only error like that in “The Last One: Part Two.” Another thing that happens involves the apartment keys that everyone had. They place them on the table before walking out, but those keys have mysteriously disappeared by the time the apartment appears on camera again. Looking for details like that can be interesting and fun for viewers.

The Same People Are Seen At Two Different Airports

Rachel On The Plane

One of the most obvious things that seems to go unnoticed by fans is the fact that some of the same people actually appear to be in two different airports during the series finale. Fans of the show might remember that Ross and Rachel end up at two different airports when he is trying to stop her from going to Paris.

But, that can be pretty hard to figure out at first, simply because some of the same faces can be spotted at both of those locations. Unless the extras in those scenes are supposed to move as fast as superheroes, that seems to be another small mistake that was made by the show’s creators.
