Now, it is looking as though an unscripted reunion with all six original cast members will happen on HBO Max, the channels new streaming service set to debut this year. With that reunion, it gives the cast and creators a chance to answer so many questions that fans have had for years. Here are ten unresolved questions the HBO Max Friends reunion special could finally answer.

WHAT IS THE DEAL WITH EVERYONE'S AGE/BIRTHDAY?

The ages of the characters in Friends is a serious mess. Rachel is the last to turn thirty in season seven, yet in season one, out that Joey is pointed out the youngest at twenty-five. There is also Ross' multiple references to being twenty-nine in seasons three, four, and five despite all the Thanksgivings and Christmases.

Their birthdays are no better. Ross tells Gunther his birthday is in December, before later in season nine telling Joey that it is in October. Rachel also tells Gunther her birthday, saying it is in May, later though states she is an Aquarius, meaning she was born in January or February. Perhaps the HBO Max special can put to bed once and for all the ages and birthdays of the characters.

WHAT IS MONICA'S MIDDLE NAME?

Friends Monica Geller 1

Throughout Friends, there are many revelations regarding the many details about the characters. These include their middle names. There is Rachel Karen Greene, Joseph Francis Tribbianni, Ross Eustace Geller, and Chandler Muriel Bing. But what about Monica?

Phoebe does not know her middle name as her twin sister (Ursula Pamela Buffay) threw away her birth certificate. But, we do find out Monica's middle name begins with E. It has annoyed fans of the show for years, and the reunion could quickly put it to bed.

WHAT'S THE DEAL WITH 'JOEY'?

Joey - Worst Spinoffs Based on Hit TV Shows

When Friends finished, there was some network desire for spinoffs for the characters. This desire led to Joey. It follows the events of the Friends finale and sees Joey leave New York for LA to act and be with his sister.

Joey attributed his friends all moving on for his moving away, saying he had to try a change. However, this being so close to season ten does not fit that well, and the whole gang was adamant about being in touch directly after season ten, Chandler, and Monica even had a Joey room. So why did he decide he wanted to leave all of a sudden? Were there other reasons for Joey's departure? How does he tell the rest of the gang? Do the creators even consider it canon in the Friends universe?

DOES JOEY EVER GET MARRIED? OR COME BACK TO THE CITY?

The likelihood Joey is not canon is virtually non-existent. So, it begs many questions, did Joey ever move back to New York? Did he come with Alex? Did they get married? Does the gang ever meet Alex?

Joey ends with Joey and Alex in a committed relationship, with marriage seemingly in their future. The HBO Max reunion is a chance for Joey and the creators to discuss Joey and if it had any bearing on the lives of the rest of the gang, and if Joey finally gets married.

WHAT HAPPENS TO PHOEBE'S PARENTS?

Throughout Friends, Phoebe's familial situation is a big part of her story. She finds out her mother, who killed herself, is not her biological mother, that is a woman named Phoebe Abbott. As for her father, they finally meet in season five after a long wait.

But, after three appearances, fans never see Phoebe's biological mother again after season four. As for her father, Frank, he is seen in one episode only and never again. Perhaps some light can be shed on why they disappear after such little time, on the reunion special.

WHAT HAPPENED TO BEN?

Ross and Ben Geller on Friends.

Ross's son Ben has a similar situation. He appears multiple times in early seasons but not too often, with appearances coming more sporadically between seasons four and eight, beyond which he never appears again.

During that time, Ross has a daughter, Emma, with Rachel, and it brings up the question as to whether or not the half-siblings ever meet. But most importantly, why does Ben not appear at this time? Does Ross lose custody? Is there another reason? Fans want answers.

DO PHOEBE AND MIKE HAVE KIDS?

Phoebe and Mike are a great couple in Friends, and their wedding is one of the shows many many highlights. When the show ends, the two are happy, married, and look destined to spend the rest of their lives together.

The two talk about having children together at the end of the show. But do they ever have them? It is a simple question that fans are hopeful is answered with a yes.

WHAT IS EVERYONE DOING FOR A JOB?

One thing that is not talked about in the finale is the job status of the gang. Joey remains an actor, with Ross still a paleontology professor, and Mike is a piano player, with the assumption that Phoebe is still a masseuse. But, what about the others?

Does Rachel quit her job after getting off the plane? If so, where does she work? Fans would assume another big fashion brand, but who knows, especially with the possibility she and Ross move - which also brings Ross's job into question. As for Monica and Chandler, do they leave their jobs for ones closer? Or do they suffer the commute to the city?

DO ROSS AND RACHEL RE-MARRY AND HAVE MORE CHILDREN?

In the Joey pilot, Joey insinuates that the whole gang is now married. However, there is no direct confirmation of Ross and Rachel's status since Joey was generally talking, and the two other couples were already married.

So, the question arises, did they get remarried? Also, did they have any more children after Emma, Ross did say he wanted more than one with Rachel. In all honesty, a lot of fans will more be wondering how long will the two last rather than if they get remarried.

DO THE GANG SEE EACH OTHER OFTEN?

Friends group in Central Perk

Monica and Chandler are married and living in the suburbs, Joey is in Los Angeles, and Phoebe and Mike are married in the city. Ross and Rachel are, for all fans know, in the city with Emma. So do they ever see each other?

It is not hard to imagine everyone going round on birthdays to visit. Nor is it hard to imagine Ross and Rachel going out to see Monica and Chandler and vice-versa occasionally. With such a beautiful and heartbreaking ending with all the characters separating, it is a somber thought that the group does not hang out much. But, the HBO Max reunion could shed some light on just how close the gang remains.
