Friends is one of the most timeless and classic television shows to hit the screen with multiple jokes and one-liners still being quoted fourteen years after it's release. That being said, no TV show is perfect and no TV show is without its continuity errors. A reunion special of the show was supposedly in the works but plans have been delayed.

After 10 seasons, every fan has probably watched each episode at least fifteen times since the show began in 1994, however they may not have noticed the multiple continuity errors peppered throughout the show's second season. Here are ten you may not have noticed.

Rachel's Scar

In episode 1, 'The One With Ross's New Girlfriend', after Rachel races to the airport to meet Ross upon his return from China, when Ross emerges, we see him with his new girlfriend Julie played by Lauren Tom.

Rachel is distraught as she just found out how Ross really felt about her. She has a cut on her forehead, but in each shot, the cut changes size. Rachel jokingly says the flowers she is holding are for her and holds them to the cut to stop the bleeding.

Visible Equipment

An unfortunate side effect of shooting any production can be visible shadows of equipment. With editing being far more advanced now, it's easier to take out unwanted shadows in post-production than it was twenty years ago. In episode 3 'The One Where Heckles Dies', just as Mr Heckles' body is being wheeled away, the shadow of a boom microphone is visible on the right wall.

Lighting the shot correctly is very important in television production and with so many moving parts in a scene, small shadows are bound to appear here and there.

Camera Reflections

In episode 6 'The One With The Baby On The Bus", Ross entrusts in Joey and Chandler to look after Ross's son Ben and they decide to take him out on a day trip. Joey brings up the fact that women love men who love babies as it makes them seem sensitive.

When the two get on the bus with Ben they begin talking to two women and just before their stop. When the light shines in through the window, you can see the shadows of the cameras and the operators against Joey and Chandler.

Rachel's Necklace

Friends Season 2 Episode 7 Necklace

In episode 7 'The One Where Ross Finds Out", Rachel drunk dials Ross and reveals that she is over him and when Ross hears the drunk voicemail, he inquires as to when she was "under" him.

Earlier on in the episode Ross and Julie appear in Central Perk and tell the group that they are getting a cat. When Rachel appears and hears the news, in some shots she is wearing a silver and red necklace and in some, the necklace has disappeared. The necklace is easy to spot due to Rachel wearing a low cut t-shirt.

Open/Closed Door

In episode 11 'The One With The Lesbian Wedding' Phoebe reveals that one of her massage clients died on her table and believes her spirit traveled into her body.

When she arrives at Monica's apartment just as Ross and Chandler are about to leave, the sound effect of a door closing can be heard playing but when you look at the front door to the apartment, Ross takes his hand off it with the door still ajar.

Jennifer Anniston Laughs

In episode 12 'The One After The Super Bowl: Part 1', Joey dates a fan from his show who really believes he is Dr. Drake Remoray from The Days of Our Lives who he plays.

In the end, he tells her the truth but when this doesn't work Ross makes up a lie and the gang takes it in turns to throw water on Joey as part of the plan to get rid of her. Multiple times in this sequence Jennifer Anniston, who plays Rachel on the show, can be seen laughing out of character and then regaining her composure.

Visible Crew Part 1

In episode 14, 'The One With The Prom Video' just as Rachel finds out that she might not have a date to her own prom, Monica's date walks out saying "I'm gonna kick Chip's ass!" and the camera pans to follow him.

Just before Monica's date passes in front of the camera, a crew member can be seen kneeling on the floor beside where he was originally standing.

Visible Crew Part 2

Episode 15 'The One Where Ross and Rachel...You Know', marks the first appearance of Tom Selleck as Dr. Richard Burke, who Monica becomes infatuated with. But it's not quite Monica's relationship that we are focusing on.

When Ross is in Joey and Chandler's apartment watching the television, Rachel enters and walks over to Ross, but when this happens, unless Joey and Chandler are getting robbed and are completely oblivious, we can see a member of the crew just visible over to the left of the screen.

Rachel's Wind

In episode 19 'The One Where Eddie Won't Go', Rachel, Phoebe, and Monica become fascinated with a book on female empowerment and meet at the coffee house to discuss the book. When Ross appears at Central Perk to pick up Rachel to take her to the movie theatre, she refuses and states that Ross is stealing her "wind" as they always do what he says.

You can see the book 'Be Your Own Windkeeper' in Rachel's hands but between shots, the book changes position with sometimes the back cover facing the camera, and sometimes the front cover facing the camera.

Extra Enters Home Twice

In episode 21 'The One With The Bullies', Phoebe travels to see her brother Frank Jr. Jr. but accidentally runs over his dog when she decides not go to in and drives away.

Phoebe, later on, returns the dog to the house and while she is standing at the door, an extra can be seen in the background getting out of her car and walking towards her house. Around five to ten seconds later that same extra can be seen once again leaving her car and walking towards her house.
