Friends left a legacy in its wake; not only is it a beloved 1990s sitcom, but it's relatable for generations to come. Fans of Friends connected with the characters, whether it was through Joey's love of food, Rachel's love of fashion, Chandler's jokes, Monica's orderliness, or Ross's love of knowledge. There's something there with every character for fans to love; sometimes, fans can even guess a character's next line, or have a fun moment in which the character says exactly what they were thinking about the character's given situation or mood.

It's fun when that happens, and Joey certainly had his fair share of moments like it, whether he was talking about food, imitating Chandler, or pointing out what his friends had missed.

"No It Isn't. No It's Not! Because You Can Also Explain It With The Truth."

Things get out of hand quickly when Monica and Chandler use Joey as a scapegoat to explain all the weird things happening lately. With Joey the only friend in the know about Chandler's and Monica's new relationship, he ends up taking the hits to keep their relationship a secret. However, when it gets to a point where it looks like Joey is a pervert, things definitely went too far, and Monica and Chandler should've told the truth at that time, which was Joey's point in the above quote, and certainly what audiences were thinking.

"Look At Me! I'm Chandler. Could I Be Wearing Any More Clothes?"

Ross is frantically trying to get everyone ready, but finds obstacles everywhere. One of those is Chandler's and Joey's childish fighting, which begins when Joey takes Chandler's spot in one of Monica's chairs. Their fighting escalates, and when Chandler hides Joey's underwear, Joey retaliates by putting on everything Chandler owns. Audiences were practically thinking the same thing when Joey declared the above quote; the moment played out perfectly, and soon thereafter, their fight was over. Even if it wasn't exactly the opposite of what Chandler had done, it's still pretty memorable.

"Hey. How You Doin'?"

Joey and Phoebe in Friends

When Rachel is frustrated by Joshua not asking her out, Joey and Phoebe convince her to do it herself. Joey offers his own well-known pick-up line of "How you doin'?" and when Phoebe doesn't seem convinced, he tries it on her, showing Rachel that it works.

Audiences knew that it was coming, and it's hard not to say Joey's most famous line along with him each time he says it onscreen.

"All Right, Well, Don't Waste It. I Mean, It's Still Food."

Rachel and Joey in Friends

When Rachel moves in with Joey after hers and Phoebe's apartment burns down, she finds that she can drop spaghetti on the floor and Joey won't freak out about it, even if it leaves a stain on the rug. However, dropping food just for fun won't do for Joey, as he points out in the above quote. Audiences could practically see that moment coming as Joey said the words and proceeded to retrieve the spaghetti off the floor to eat.

"Or Maybe, It's Because You're All Hanging Around Here At 11:30 On A Wednesday."

Joey and Chandler in Friends

Every so often, Joey has his moments of clarity, especially in the above quote when he points out why his friends' bosses may not like them. It gets them to leave abruptly, realizing Joey has a point. It's a memorable moment, considering Joey is usually dim-witted about most things. Yet, Joey is street smart, and he doesn't hesitate when it comes to calling out his friends. Fans know how much time the friends spend in Central Perk; they certainly saw that quote coming at some point.

"I'm Not Even Sorry."

When Joey goes out with Phoebe's friend Sarah on a second date, she gets a delicious chocolate torte for dessert, and Joey regrets ordering cheesecake. Sarah made the mistake of thinking that her dessert would still be there when she returned from making a phone call, but audiences knew that Joey would succumb to temptation.

He did, and as he said, he wasn't sorry in the least, which was certainly clear.

"$1200? You Think I Have $1200?"

Joey and encyclopedia salesman talking in Friends

You think I have $1200? I'm home in the middle of the day and I got patio furniture in my living room. I guess there's a few things you don't get from book learning.

When Joey's visited by an encyclopedia salesman, he has the perfect response when the salesman pitches buying the set of encyclopedias for just 1200 dollars. Joey has a point in his quote; it's obvious he doesn't have that kind of money, though he does get lucky when he finds a fifty in his pants pocket and is able to purchase at least one book. Undoubtedly fans were thinking the same thing Joey was when the salesman pitched the offer, which made Joey's quote that much funnier.

"And There It Is."

Janice arrives at Central Perk and utters her catchphrase

When Rachel and Chandler run into Janice, it brings her back into the friends' lives. Only this time, Chandler is far from wanting to get back together with her. When Janice appears, it's only a matter of time before her nasally laugh follows, and Joey calls it with the above quote. Janice appears frequently throughout the series, usually without the friends expecting it, and Joey's quote made the moment that much more hilarious.

"That's My Line!"

When Joey is delayed, Monica and Chandler get a replacement officiator for their wedding. Luckily, Joey shows up in the nick of time, and exclaims the above quote. Audiences were thinking the exact same thing; no one but Joey was meant to officiate Monica and Chandler's wedding.

He's one of their best friends, he was the first to know of their relationship, and it just wouldn't have been the same if Joey hadn't been the one to marry them.

"Joey Doesn't Share Food!"

Joey in Friends

After going on a date with a friend of Phoebe's, Joey isn't inclined to call her. Why? Because she tried to take some fries off of Joey's plate. Even Rachel is aware that taking anything off Joey's plate is forbidden. Audiences know how much Joey loves food; why it is a surprise to Phoebe after years of her knowing Joey is a mystery, but Joey made it perfectly clear that removing food from his plate is a deal breaker.
