When Friends began airing in 1994, nobody knew that they were about to introduce the world to one of the greatest examples of a bromance, and friendship in general, that they had ever seen. Enter the roommates from apartment 19: Joey Tribbiani and Chandler Bing.

Due to an odd turn of events, and a little help from their crazy, downstairs-neighbor Mr. Heckles, Chandler and Joey became not just roommates, but best-friends as they bonded over beer, Baywatch, and their beloved Barcaloungers. Take a look at our list for the 5 best things Joey ever did for Chandler and the 5 best that Chandler ever did for Joey.

(Joey For Chandler) Bought The Barcaloungers

Speaking of the barcaloungers, in season 2 when Joey's character gets picked up for more episodes on, "Days Of Our Lives," he decides to treat not only himself but his best-friend by purchasing the iconic leather seats. Chandler may have reciprocated the favor, but since it stemmed from guilt after kissing Kate that particular favor didn't make it onto our list.

Despite the fact that Joey was also responsible for the chairs getting stolen, the initial act of buying them for a friend who supported his career which paid for them was a truly brotherly act.

(Chandler For Joey) Let Him Win At 'Cups'

Since Chandler had a successful career as a 'transponster,' and while he wasn't extremely wealthy, he did more than well enough to help out Joey. Of course, Joey was sometimes a little too proud to accept his help. In season 6 when Chandler moves out, he offers to give Joey $1,500 to tide him over for a few months. Yeah, the late '90s were certainly a different time in that respect, weren't they?

When Joey says no, Chandler comes up with a make-believe game to gamble away the money into Joey's pocket, sticking him with the cash and not making him feel like a charity case. But Joey was a pretty good friend himself when he informed Chandler that it wasn't his money that he was going to miss.

(Joey For Chandler) Gave Him The Porcelain Dog

On the same night that Chandler tries to 'gamble' away the $1,500, Joey returns the favor by giving him the white porcelain dog as a moving-out present. While it may have only been a $200 gift to the grand-and-a-half Chandler was trying to fork over, the dog had become a staple of the show and was one of Joey's most prized possessions (right next to Hugsy).

Despite the fact that it was the night Joey lost his porcelain dog, the foosball table, and his roommate, it was also the night he cemented his friendship with Chandler forever.

(Chandler For Joey) Gave Him A 'Joey Room'

Friends was always meant to be a show about how your friends are your family, and they stuck to that. Unfortunately, at the conclusion of the series, the characters all went on their separate ways as their actual families started to blossom and take root.

In the final season when Chandler and Monica decide to show Joey the house they've bought out in the suburbs, Joey initially tries to prevent them from buying it. But when Chandler informs Joey that the house has a room specifically for him, Joey realizes he has nothing to worry about when it comes to losing his pal.

(Joey For Chandler) Hid The 'Mondler' Relationship

When Chandler and Monica begin dating at the beginning of season 5, Joey finds out about their relationship during the fifth episode. "The One Where Everybody Finds Out" is episode 14, and Ross doesn't even technically find out until the start of the next one, meaning that Joey kept the secret for months just to give his best friends the privacy that they requested.

For somebody as loose-lipped and mentally spacious as Joey, that's an Olympic sized feat. You deserve a bucket of KFC for this one, Joe; skin only, of course.

(Chandler For Joey) Visited Him In Vegas

When Joey lands the lead part in an independent movie called, "Shutter Speed," he invites his roommate to take a cross-country road trip with him to reach the film's shooting location outside Las Vegas. Unfortunately, Chandler makes some accurate predictions about the authenticity of the film that prompts Joey to dis-invite him.

Now, Monica may have been the one to actually pay for the trip, but Chandler had made the effort well before-hand and was simply shot down by Joey not wanting him to find out he was right. The best part was that Chandler didn't rub it in Joey's face at all when he did find out; a few Trojan condoms jokes weren't out-of-line though.

(Joey For Chandler) Didn't Beat Him Up For Fooling Around With His Sister

We'd have to ask Barney Stinson for the specific number, but there's definitely a bro code rule that states a bro's sister is off-limits. In season 3 when Chandler is trying to get over Janice, he ,unfortunately, downs a few too many jello shots at a party and ends up fooling around with Joey's sister, Mary Angela.

When Chandler can't remember which of Joey's seven sisters he kissed, his roommate accepts the apology knowing that his best friend didn't mean to hurt anybody. To be fair though, he did deserve the punch from Cookie.

(Chandler For Joey) Paid For His Bills

As already stated, Chandler never shied away from his apparent responsibility of being Joey's bank account, but the fact that this act had no specific episode or scene where it takes place speaks volumes to how generous it was.

Friends takes place over a span of ten years, and for over half that time Chandler paid for nearly every one of Joey's routine bills. Along with that, he paid for acting classes so that his best friend could pursue and fulfill his dream job without needing to constantly worry about money. Seriously, Chandler, grade A friendship right there.

(Joey For Chandler) Invited Him To His First Movie Premiere

Forget the unfortunate fact that Chandler fell asleep during the premiere itself (maybe there should have been a kangaroo in the movie), Joey inviting him in the first place was the greatest act of friendship he could've expressed. Acting was all Joey had tried to accomplish, and even despite a virtually stand-still career, he kept at it thanks to the help and inspiration of his best friend and roommate.

So what's the best way to repay the person responsible for making that dream finally come true? Invite him to see the result of all his hard work. Sorry his outfit wasn't as risque as Monica's, Joe, but nice job being an amazing friend.

(Chandler for Joey) Let him officiate his wedding

Joey officiates Monica and Chandler's wedding

Dearly beloved, this was clearly going to be the best thing Chandler did for Joey. Upon his initial inquiry, 'Mondler' informed Joey there was no way he could officiate their wedding, but after some careful consideration, Chandler and Monica realized that not only would it mean the world to their best friend to join them in holy matrimony.

There wasn't anybody else on earth they would've preferred to lead them into their new lives together. Father Karamessos came close to taking the spotlight for himself, but Joey wouldn't be denied his ultimate best friend moment.
