Out of all the relationships on FriendsMonica and Ross's has to be one of the funniest. This was completely different from all the others as they were the only familial relationship within the core six. Fans loved to watch as the pair bickered and fought over the simplest of things, whether it was exes or childhood memories.

However, despite them engaging in their sibling squabbles, several moments illustrated how much they loved one another. From the preparation of his and Emily's wedding to Ross's overprotective nature, here are the 5 best things Monica did for Ross (& 5 He Did For Her).

Helping him prepare for his date

Probably one of the funniest scenes in the show is when Ross bleaches his teeth. In "The One With Ross's Teeth", fans find out that Monica has set Ross up with a colleague of hers. However, Ross leaves the teeth whitener on for too long and ends up with exceptionally bright teeth.

While the others joke about the condition, it is Monica who tries to help him. She goes over to his apartment and tries to find an outfit that would tone down the brightness. When that doesn't work, Monica advises that makeup may be his only option and begins to teach him how to apply it. It's nice of her to do this for him.

Ross lends her money

In "The One With The Prom Video", fans learn that Monica is struggling to find another job and pay her rent. She comes back from a job interview and tells the gang how the chef came onto her. Monica also considers asking her parents for money but is afraid of being judged.

Her instincts are proven right when Jack advises she uses her savings from the bank. Still worried about her dwindling savings, Ross decides to lend her the money. He also tells her that there is no rush to pay him back. Monica then hugs him in gratitude.

Monica wants to erase Emily's message

In "The One With The Ride Along", Rachel faced a dilemma after she overheard a voicemail from Emily. On this message she leaves, Emily is asking to talk to Ross because she is having second thoughts about getting remarried. Rachel then asks Monica what they should do.

Although it isn't the right thing to do, fans can understand why Monica wants to erase the message. When they were trying to reconcile, Emily was asking Ross to compromise on too many things. She almost tore the group in half and made Ross miserable. Monica was just looking out for her brother's welfare like any sister would do.

Taking Monica as his plus one

In the episode "The One With All The Cheesecakes", Monica is furious to find out that Ross has been invited to their cousin's wedding as she hasn't. She expresses her hurt over the exclusion, especially since Monica was close to her cousin when they grew up.

This then leads to Ross canceling his date with a colleague, who he states is a big deal among his field. It does tell fans that Monica and Ross value family above all things as they want to be part of each other's lives. It also implies that Ross and Monica will have each other's backs.

Monica, the baby whisperer

When Rachel and Ross's baby first arrives, Rachel struggles to adapt to motherhood ("The One Where Emma Cries"). Instead of allowing Emma to sleep, Rachel wakes her up, which leads to the baby crying non-stop. Ultimately, this begins to drive Monica, Phoebe and Rachel crazy.

However, they find a solution when Emma stops crying as soon as Monica picks her up. Instead of returning to her apartment with Chandler, Monica stays over at Ross's place so that they will be able to catch up on some sleep. She could have easily said no and left them to it, but it proves that she really cares about them both.

Comforting Monica over her speech

In "The One In Massapequa", Monica and Ross attend their parents' 35th-anniversary party. This year proves to be different than all the others as Monica has volunteered to give a speech instead of Ross. She says that she wants to give a moving speech that will reduce her family to tears since Ross always knows how to.

However, her speech falls flat with the guests and leads to her parents asking Ross to make one to save face. Although Monica is disheartened by the lack of reaction, it is Ross who manages to cheer her up. He says he was touched by her speech, particularly the part where she said their grandmother would have loved to be there. It seems to work in cheering her up.

Ross and Emily's wedding

In "The One With Ross's Wedding", the gang travel to London to attend Ross and Emily's wedding. However, they run into a problem when Emily discovers the venue they are set to get married in is about to get demolished. This then leads to a fight between the couple when Emily decides to postpone the event.

Although she was the cause of the problem, Monica helps Ross come up with an idea to salvage the wedding. She transforms the ruined hall and turns it back into Emily's dream site. Both Ross and Emily appreciate the effort she goes through to make sure their big day goes to plan.

Scolding their parents over their favoritism

There was one aspect everyone hated about The Gellers and that was how much they favored Ross over Monica. Nobody knows why Ross was the golden child, but she could never do right in their eyes as they always compared her achievements to his.

It came to a point where Ross had enough of it and confronted his father in "The One Where Rosita Dies". When Ross finds out that his dad used the boxes containing Monica's stuff to protect his Porsche, he is furious. He tells Jack that behavior like this is a reason why Monica believes they don't love her. To try and make it up to her, Ross tries to pass off some of his things as hers.

Giving them their daughter's name

One of the kindest things Monica does for Ross (and Rachel) is gifting her baby name. As fans know, Ross and Rachel struggled to come up with a name for their daughter. They were going to name her Isabella and Delilah at first but vetoed the names when Rachel became upset.

When they find out that Monica has her baby names picked out, Rachel wants to know what they are. Noticing how much she likes the name 'Emma', Monica permits them to use it because they mean a lot more to her. It's a big deal considering we know how Monica likes to keep things organized.

Ross's protective nature

Ross may not have had to show it much, but there were many instances were he showed his overprotective nature. The first instance came in "The One With The Girl Who Hits Joey" when Ross discovers Chandler and Monica's relationship and gets angry at the thought of him messing his sister about.

The next instance came in "The One With Monica and Chandler's Wedding" when Ross physically threatens Chandler if he ever thought about hurting Monica. To prove his point, Ross tackles Chandler to the ground when he thinks he is going to bail on the wedding again. It's nice to see his protective side for a change.
