Ryan Reynolds spoils five major cameos from Free Guy in an Instagram post. The Deadpool star's most recent film was released exclusively in theaters this past weekend, and it is looking like one of the summer's most successful blockbusters based on its overwhelmingly positive reviews and impressive box office haul. After beginning development in 2016 at 20th Century Fox, Free Guy was one of the first projects Disney decided to continue developing after they purchased the studio.

From director Shawn Levy and writers Matt Lieberman and Zak Penn, the film follows Reynolds' titular Guy, an everyday bank teller who discovers he is actually an NPC (non-player character) in an open-world video game called Free City after he meets Millie/Molotov Girl (Jodie Comer). With her and Keys' (Joe Keery) help, Guy eventually breaks free from his code and sets his sights on the game's head developer Antwan (Taika Waititi). The film's main cast also includes Lil Rel Howery as Guy's best friend Buddy, but it has actually been Free Guy's various cameos that have been making waves since its release.

On Instagram, Ryan Reynolds posted a thank you to all his "incredible pals" who cameoed in Free Guy and in the process, may have spoiled five of the film's major cameos for his followers who haven't yet seen it. In order, the photos include Channing Tatum, Chris Evans, Hugh Jackman, Dwayne Johnson, and John Krasinski. The first two photos appear to have been taken on set of the film, while the last three do not. This makes sense considering that Jackman, Johnson, and Krasinksi did not actually appear on-screen and instead have voice cameos. Check out Reynolds' post below:

Tina Fey was another one of Free Guy's cameos, though she was not included in Reynolds' post, since he admitted to not having photos of everyone. Other than these aforementioned movie stars, Free Guy features cameos from various online video game personalities. Twitch streamers Ninja and Pokimane headline this group, while Lazarbeam, Jacksepticeye, and DanTDM also make appearances. Another celebrity cameo viewers were delighted to see was the beloved Jeopardy! host, Alex Trebek, who passed away last year following a two-year battle with pancreatic cancer.

Evans' cameo was made possible by Disney's acquisition of 21st Century Fox, which also gave them access to all of the studio's intellectual properties. Reynolds had an uncredited cameo appearance in Dwayne Johnson's 2019 film, Hobbs & Shaw, so The Rock seemingly wanted to return the favor by appearing in Free Guy. While the film undoubtedly presents an entertaining and action-packed story with a lot of heart, Free Guy's multiple cameos are a huge part of what makes it such a fun ride.
