Free Comic Book Day is one of the highlights of the comic book year. The Selection Committee has just announced the full lineup for May 5th 2018, including 12 Gold Sponsor comics and 38 Silver Sponsors. It looks as though FCBD 2018 will be a great day for fans to head to their local participating comic book shop and pick up a free comic book.
Retailers on the selection committee have chosen 50 comics, with 12 "Gold Sponsors" and a further 38 "Silver Sponsors." The latter will be particularly exciting for retailers, as they'll allow fans to explore new titles and genres.

FCBD 2018 will surely be a major event, with DC keeping their project under wraps. They promise "a special, top-secret project too big to announce!" Marvel, meanwhile, is planning to release two titles: Avengers & Captain America and Infinity Watch / Amazing Spider-Man. Both books feature two 10-page stories, and Marvel claims they "set the stage for upcoming game-changers in the Marvel Universe." It's clear the comic book publisher intends to capitalize on next year's Avengers: Infinity War, with the Summer Event tying in thematically. Image Comics is taking advantage of Free Comic Book Day to release the first issue of Brian K. Vaughan and Marcos Martin's Barrier, while IDW has chosen to include an issue of Star Wars Adventures.
