Jamie Lee Curtis reveals that she is still in contact with her Freaky Friday co-star Lindsay Lohan and even has a secret question to make sure it's really her texting. Curtis got her start in the industry in the late '70s, getting her first film role playing Laurie Strode in the John Carpenter's 1978 classic Halloween when she was 20 years old. Lohan began acting at an even younger age, eventually scoring her breakthrough role in the 1998 remake of The Parent Trap at age 12.

In 2003, the two actresses starred together in Freaky Friday, which is the third of four films to use that title and premise, all based on the 1972 novel by Mary Rodgers. In the film, Curtis plays the uptight mother of Lohan's rebellious teenager, and when they swap bodies due to a magic fortune cookie, they are forced to walk a mile in each other's shoes and learn how to relate. The film was directed by Mean Girls' Mark Waters and also featured Chad Michael Murray, Stephen Tobolowsky, and Rosalind Chao.

During an interview with Yahoo! about her new movie Halloween Kills, Curtis reveals her secret code for ensuring it's Lohan texting her and not somebody pretending to be her. Apparently, while hanging out in between takes, the pair were trying to learn the lyrics to Clipse's rap in the song “Like I Love You” by Justin Timberlake. She essentially uses the song as a security question, asking “What was the song we were lip-syncing to in the car?” whenever she needs to be sure. She realized, to her chagrin, that she's now "given it away," but luckily she has "another one" in her back pocket. Read the full quote below:

There's a song called “Like I Love You” by Justin Timberlake. And Lindsay and I were doing a scene in a car and there was a lot of time in between takes. And there's a rap in the middle of that song by Clipse. She and I were trying to learn the words. And we were like sitting there with a pad. … We were writing them down and then we would do the scene and then we'd play the song and try to lip-sync the few words that we knew. I'm telling you, we laughed. And that is my secret code with her. “What was the song we were lip-syncing to in the car?” Now I’ve given it away. But I have another one.

Since filming Freaky Friday, their careers have gone in very different directions. Curtis continued to star in A-list projects, recently including Knives Out and Blumhouse's Halloween reboot trilogy. Although Lohan went on to star in films like Mean Girls and Herbie Fully Loaded, she had a well-publicized rough patch shortly afterward. Having now returned to acting, Lohan will appear in a Netflix holiday movie that begins filming in November.

It's somewhat surprising that the Freaky Friday co-stars are still in contact, considering their age difference. However, working on a film that requires actors to pay such attention to each other, memorizing their speech patterns and mannerisms, must have resulted in a strong bond forming between them. Plus, from what she's described about their time on set, Curtis sounds like an incredibly fun person to hang out with.
