The Frasier reboot episode 1 title is revealed, and it pays homage to the original show's pilot. Kelsey Grammer is reprising his role as snooty psychiatrist Frasier Crane in the revival on Paramount+. The actor has been working on the project for years now and aside from starring, he also serves as a producer for the show. Specific plot details are still scant at the moment, but it has already been confirmed that it won't feature Frasier's Seattle crew as series regulars, which means that Grammer's Frasier will be surrounded by mostly new characters.

As promised, Frasier reboot's first rehearsals will take place this February, and ahead of that, casting director Jeff Greenberg (via People) has shared a snap of the script for the show's first episode in a since-deleted post. This reveals new information about the Paramount+ project, including the Frasier reboot episode 1 title, which is "The Good Father." This is a callback to the NBC series' premiere, which was titled "The Good Son" in reference to Frasier taking in his father, Martin, to live with him, albeit begrudgingly.

What Frasier Reboot Premiere Title Reveals About The Revival

A few general details have been revealed about the upcoming Paramount+ project including the casting of Frasier's son, as well as Niles and Daphne's. Nicholas Lyndhurst is also joining the show as the titular character's friend as he settles into a brand-new city.

Aside from the absence of Niles from the revival, it will also have to deal with the loss of Martin following John Mahoney's death in 2018. Grammer has previously confirmed that a tribute to the Crane patriarch will be included in the Frasier reboot, and the pilot episode could be the start of that. While "The Good Son" clearly refers to Frasier, it's also indicative of the beloved sitcom's focus on his relationship with his dad, which was arguably one of the best things about the show.

Given this, "The Good Father" hints that the Frasier reboot on Paramount+ will also lean on that same dynamic, but this time, between Frasier and his son, Freddy. The character's only child appeared several times in the original series, so he will be familiar. However, it will be interesting to see if he will be exactly like his dad or if he will take after his more grounded grandfather — something that was hinted at before. The pair's bond will likely be the emotional center of the show, which is a clever way to approach the Frasier revival considering how the familial elements from its predecessor were such a big asset for the Cheers spin-off.

Considering Freddy's significance in the Frasier reboot, it could mean that Bebe Neuwirth's Lilith will also make an appearance. Despite their failed marriage, the pair kept in touch and remained good advisors to each other, so it's possible that they kept in contact all these years. Since many of the original cast members are not involved in the show, it would also be great to see a familiar face in the revival aside from Fraiser.
