The spinoff to beloved sitcom Cheers focused on the endeavors of the snobbish radio psychiatrist Frasier Crane after he moved to Seattle from Boston. But with his family and various relationships now back in his life, Frasier introduced a whole cast of brand new characters that were just as lovable as its predecessor's.

With a number of great actors portraying these characters, it is not a surprise that some of them would appear in at least one Disney movie or television show. In some cases, certain Frasier actors have not only appeared in multiple Disney movies and shows but also have appeared alongside other Frasier actors in the same product.

Laurie Metcalf (Nanny G) - Andy's Mom In The Toy Story Franchise

Frasier has had numerous wives and girlfriends across the series, and one notable past relationship was his first wife, a children's entertainer nicknamed Nanny G. A fling with her in one episode was one moment when Frasier's ego got him into trouble when the two were caught in a passionate embrace live on stage.

Nanny G was played by two different actresses in Cheers but in Frasier, Nanny G was played by Laurie Metcalf. TV fans will recognize her as Sheldon's mother in The Big Bang Theory but Disney fans are more likely to note her as Andy's mother in the Toy Story movies. Metcalf also played Jim Hawkin's mother in the underrated Disney movie Treasure Planet.

Jean Smart (Lana) - Dr. Ann Possible In Kim Possible

Another ex of Frasier's was Lana Gardner, a high-school classmate whom both Frasier and Niles had a crush on. She and the former both have a brief romantic affair but Frasier calls it off due to her aggressive nature. She is also the mother of Roz's young admirer Kirby.

Lana's actress, Jean Smart, also played another mother character who was much less aggressive than Lana. Smart provided the voice of the brilliant neurosurgeon Dr. Ann Possible, the mother of beloved teenage secret agent Kim Possible.

Robbie Coltrane (Michael) - Lord Dingwall In Brave

Daphne's large family was just as eccentric as she was and her four brothers all turned up in Seattle in the two-part finale. One of those brothers was Michael, whose strong Lancashire accent was almost incomprehensible to almost everyone.

Michael was played by Robbie Coltrane, who many most fondly know as the friendly half-giant Hagrid in the Harry Potter franchise. Coltrane also had a supporting role in Pixar's Brave as Lord Dingwall, who's most remembered for boastfully mooning his competing lords in the ill-fated contest for their sons to win Merida's hand in marriage.

Edward Hibbert (Gil) - Zazu In The Lion King Franchise

As a radio show host, Frasier begrudgingly worked alongside a number of memorably odd characters on the KACL station. One such character who appeared often in Frasier was Gil (played by Edward Hibbert), the camp food critic and radio host of "Restaurant Beat" who often proved to be just snobbish as Frasier.

Though Rowan Atkinson voiced Zazu in the first and original Disney classic The Lion King, it was Hibbert who voiced the pompous hornbill in its sequels and spin-off series Timon and Pumbaa. But that isn't the only Disney avian character voiced by Gil. Hibbert also provided the voice of Mary Poppins' parrot-headed umbrella in Mary Poppins Returns.

Bebe Neuwirth (Lilith) - Sylvia In An Extremely Goofy Movie

Many Frasier fans will instantly recognize Lilith, Frasier's ice queen ex-wife and the mother of Frasier's son, Freddie. Despite her cold and serious demeanor, Lilith never failed to provide laughs throughout the show.

Lilith was played by Bebe Neuwirth, who also portrayed another iconic character's love interest. Neuwrith provided the voice of librarian and Goofy's girlfriend Sylvia Marple in An Extremely Goofy Movie, the straight-to-video sequel to A Goofy Movie. Neuwirth also appeared in DuckTales and the animated Aladdin television series.

Wendie Malick (Ronee) - Eda In The Owl House

Frasier and Niles weren't the only ones to find love in the series. Their father, Martin, had various romances too, but none were so prominent as lounge singer Ronee, who used to babysit Frasier and Niles. Martin soon fell in love with Ronee and the two married in the final series of the show.

Ronee was played by Wendie Malick, who has had two notable Disney roles in her career. The first was Chicha, Pacha's headstrong wife in The Emperor's New Groove. Her second role was a more starring role as Eda the Owl Lady, one of the most likable characters in The Owl House.

Jane Leeves (Daphne) - Athena In The Hercules Animated Series

In the first series, Frasier decides to hire a carer for Martin. All potential applicants are dismissed by Martin but he takes a platonic liking to the quirky Daphne. Martin isn't the only one who likes Daphne as Niles falls head over heels for her at first sight.

Daphne was portrayed by Jane Leeves, who has had a number of notable roles since her time on Frasier. One interesting role is voicing Athena, the Greek goddess of wisdom, in the Hercules animated series. Leeves wasn't the only Frasier actor to voice a character in this series. Peri Gilpin, who plays Roz, was the villainous goddess Hecate in two episodes of the series.

John Mahoney (Martin) - Preston B. Whitmore In Atlantis: The Lost Empire

Because of their completely different personalities, and his beloved dog Eddie, Martin and Frasier frequently were at odds, especially in the earlier series. But despite this and their differences, Martin often proved to be a great dad to Frasier and Niles.

Martin Crane was perhaps the most famous role of the late and great John Mahoney but Martin wasn't his only father figure. Mahoney also provided the voice of Kronk's dad in the sequel Kronk's New Groove. But arguably Mahoney's more notable Disney part was the eccentric Preston. B Whitmore in Atlantis: The Lost Empire.

David Hyde Pierce (Niles) - Slim In A Bug's Life

Played by David Hyde Pierce, Niles Crane is Frasier's equally snobby brother who is neurotic when it comes to germs and hygiene. Episodes frequently see their egos clash, whether it's over women or tastes in culture, but their relationship always remains strong and supportive during times of need.

Pierce has had many voice-acting roles in his career and one noteworthy role is Slim the melodramtic stick insect from Pixar's A Bug's Life. Slim wasn't Pierce's only Disney role. He also played Dr. Doppler in Treasure Planet and Daedelus in the Hercules animated series, alongside his Frasier wife, Jane Leeves.

Kelsey Grammer (Frasier) - Stinky Pete In Toy Story 2

Although it was Cheers that introduced Frasier Crane, it was his spin-off show that truly made the radio show psychiatrist one of the most famous and beloved sitcom protagonists in history. Part of this is down to the hilarious and classy performance of Kelsey Grammer.

Grammer's great character acting and distinct voice has helped land him other notable roles such as notorious criminal Sideshow Bob in The Simpsons (who could technically count as a Disney character now) and the old prospector Stinky Pete in Toy Story 2.
