Building a wheelie car in Forza Horizon 5 may not be the most practical application of its upgrade system, but it certainly brings joy to see any car do a wheelie. Forza Horizon 5 has near limitless customization options, and players can manipulate their vehicles to perform wheelies. Learning how to build a wheelie car is a great way to experience just how much every upgrade, and fine-tune settings, affect the performance of the vehicles.

Before messing with the parts of any vehicle, players should take the car they want to perform wheelies with and run a few races in Forza Horizon 5. Competing in a few races before changing the performance of any vehicle is a good way to see just how much everything has changed from the stock version of the car.

Building a wheelie car requires at least two things, a lot of horsepower and a heavy rear frame. Reducing the weight of the front of the car is an added bonus, but aside from the bumper there are not many items that can lighten the front load of cars in Forza Horizon 5. A reverse wheelie car can also be designed by switching the settings of the front and back ends of vehicles, like tire grip, tire size, fine-tune settings, and the like.

Not every car in Forza Horizon 5 can perform wheelies, and upgrading parts costs credits. The following settings can be applied to every car in an attempt to perform them:

  • Conversion: Install the largest available engine in conversion and a rear-wheel drivetrain. Install a twin-turbo engine.
  • Weight Reduction: Remove anything from the front of the car to lighten the weight, like the front bumper.
  • Tire Compound, Width, and Rims: Install drag racing tires, skinny tires in the front, grip tires in the back, and lightweight rims.
  • Drivetrain: Install all race parts. Install a six-speed or higher transmission.
  • Spring and Dampers: Install rally spring and dampers.
  • Platform and Handling: Install race front and rear anti-roll bars.
  • Engine: Fully upgrade the engine to its maximum horsepower.

The next set of settings are all accessed from the fine-tune menu. In addition to wheelie cars, fine-tune settings can assist with receiving high scores on PR stunts in Forza Horizon 5.

  • Tire Settings: Tire pressure as low as possible in the back and as high as possible in the front.
  • Alignment Settings: Straight out the alignment and bring the front caster angle as low as possible.
