While players are cruising around the open world of Mexico in Forza Horizon 5, they should know that the best order to play races is from easiest to most difficult. Players should start with the rookie races available in Forza Horizon 5 before taking on the pros. The new Forza Horizon 5 Adventure Campaign has a map that's loaded with ways to earn Forza credits and XP via races and challenges. It can be tough choosing where to start and what courses to hit after completing Forza Horizon 5's intro and tutorial. And, with the open-world feature, it is entirely up to players to decide their path.

There are three types of races to play through in Forza Horizon 5 at first: Apex road races, Wilds dirt races, and Baja cross-country races. Players may also gain rewards from mini-games, barn finds, and side quests. Participating in these is what helps to open new chapters and achieve exceptional free vehicles. If players catch the races and events that their cars can actually handle earlier on, this will make gameplay easy and less of a struggle. It'll also help them get closer to Adventure opportunities. Once players determine the order in which they want to play races they can organize them by filtering map icons and pinning specific accolades.

Taking time to tune and upgrade vehicles is a primary feature in Forza Horizon 5 as well. As players advance through Forza Horizon 5's races, they'll be able to upgrade through vehicle classes (like D, C, B, A, S1, S2, and X) by doing swaps on their cars. The key is to enhance vehicle features while progressing through the game, preparing them for tougher events. Players may also upgrade the unlocked free cars in Forza Horizon 5 if they choose to. With the upgrade system in place, it only makes sense that the best order to play races in Forza Horizon 5 is from beginner-level events to pros.

Upgrade Player Vehicles in Forza Horizon 5

In Forza Horizon 5 players will find that some races are more difficult than others or require more advanced cars. If players find themselves starting a race and not being able to catch up to the other racers, this could mean the vehicle isn't fit for the race. There's a rewards system in place for players to earn points to use on vehicle upgrades. Players can do swaps and alter the vehicle's performance settings adjusting engine, drivetrain, aspiration, and other features.

Keeping up with upgrades in Forza Horizon 5 prepares vehicles for more difficult races. The points to upgrade can be easily earned by completing skill chains. Players do this by driving well and doing stunts and tricks consistently without crashing. This can be done during race events or whilst driving in the open world. Using these points can be done manually or with the automatic upgrade option.

Take on the Rookie Races First in Forza Horizon 5

Running in Forza's rookie races first, or the events that are for beginner-level vehicles, is the smartest choice when getting started. If players take the time to gain experience and skill points before taking on harder races, they'll find the game moves much smoother. When choosing a race to participate in there are options to play rookie or pro. In the rookie races, players may complete the race in any place, giving them time to do stunts and gain experience. However, to win a pro race, a player has to finish first to win. This is more challenging if the vehicle is not advanced or the driver isn't as experienced.

Of course, with the open-map system in Forza Horizon 5, players may choose to play any way they like. Completing an entire series is another popular way to play. For example filtering the map to show only particular events, like Apex road races, players can build their skill using only the best Forza cars for road racing before advancing on to cross-country or dirt races. Although even using a strategy like this, players should still be looking to complete the easiest races before working their way towards the long-distance finale race.
