Unlike previous events, it'll be impossible for players to miss Fortnite's Zero Crisis Finale. When players jump into the game for the first time after season six begins, they will automatically play through the event. There will be some sort of global premiere for the event online, but players won't be forced to log into the game on a certain day or at a certain time to experience it themselves, and that's great for players who might be otherwise occupied. It's unfortunate for people who want to experience Fortnite's next event with a group of friends, but it's ultimately the right choice to allow everyone to get in on the fun.
This is a fantastic change for Fortnite's event structure. For the game's landmark events like the Black Hole or the Nexus War, the traditional event format will likely remain the same, and it should so that these moments remain as special as they are. But for other events, instancing them off like this is a great way to allow everyone to experience them firsthand and do it in a way that allows players to do at their convenience. The Zero Crisis Finale event should have massive ramifications for the state of Fortnite going into season six, and everyone is going to get to experience it this time.
