The new The Walking Dead skins have finally arrived in the item shop in Fortnite, and fans are excited. The skins, depicting the popular Walking Dead characters Daryl Dixon and Michonne, were brought into the shop today, as well as multiple other options to purchase the pack with weapons and more. Fortnite's most recent season focused on Marvel characters, and it's clear the game isn't done with high-profile pop culture crossovers.

While Fortnite tends to add new things to its shop pretty consistently, this was one of the bigger announcements that came out of its appearance at The Game Awards. Fortnite has done multiple collaborations with popular pop culture icons, such as The Avengers, Halo, and more. But this is the first time that The Walking Dead has been brought up as a possible skin, with two of the biggest characters on the show being introduced into the game.

The items, according to a blog post by Epic Games, were added to the shop on December 16 in the United States. Both of the outfits are available for 1,800 V-bucks each, and both come with a new back-bling, as well as a pickaxe. This would include Daryl’s knife and Michonne’s katana. If players wanted both skins, there’s the option of buying the two of them in a double pack, which is on sale for 2,500 V-bucks.

The entirety of Fortnite season four was dedicated solely to the Marvel Universe, so it's good to see the game branch out with its crossovers again. Recently, it's been adding many characters from different universes. Fortnite started off the latest season with The Mandalorian being a playable character, and more skins have started to come in, such as Kratos from God of War, Master Chief from Halo, and others as well. There have even been leaks lately of more skins to come that could be related to Marvel, such as Black Panther or Captain Marvel, continuing that crossover with Marvel.

There’s no telling what is going to come with Fortnite as the season progresses. There isn’t a set theme, at least compared to some of the previous seasons. At this point, it seems Fornite is having fun integrating all these different skins into the game for players to enjoy, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing. The only thing that would make it even more like The Walking Dead would be if Epic added zombies as a playable enemy as well as the regular Battle Royale that Fortnite is known for.
