The Cube Queen has Obliterator and Islandbane skin variants to unlock in Fortnite season 8. As the season progresses, Epic Games continues to introduce new content to keep season 8 interesting. The newest addition to the Battle Pass is the Cube Queen, a skin that has been foreshadowed throughout the season. As more cubes begin to appear on the island, players are interested to see where the story is going next. The ridiculous full story of Fortnite does hint at future content to come. Until then, players can unlock the Cube Queen if they have an active Battle Pass. Players will also need to update the game to the newest version. In order to unlock her varients, players need to unlock the Cube Queen skin first.
The Cube Queen skin has a Fortnite quest for players to complete in order to unlock it. For this challenge, players will need to survive storm circles while carrying a Sideways weapon. Players will need to do this five different times to complete the quest. The Sideways is a new addition to season 8 that takes players to another slice of reality where they face off against dangerous monsters. Its location changes with every match, but the map will have a large orange circle, this is where Fortnite players can find the Sideways.
Once the player unlocks the base Cube Queen skin, they will just need to unlock the variants. In order to unlock Islanebane, players will first need to get the Obliterator skin. These come along with their own sets of challenges too.
How To Unlock The Obliterator and Islandbane Cube Queen Skins in Fortnite
To unlock the Obliterator variant in Fortnite, players will need to complete the three challenges on the Cube Queen's first page. Fortunately, each one does come along with its own individual reward.
- Eliminate a player with the Sideways Minigun (1): - Last Cube Standing emoticon. Players can find a Sideways minigun by completing a Sideways encounter in Fortnite.
- Shakedown opponents (2): The Queen's Court loading screen.
- Use a Shadow Stone or Flopper to phase for 3 seconds near a player: Cube Matrix Back Bling.
Claiming all the rewards on the first page will reward players with the Oblietator variant and unlock the second page. Like the first page, players will need to complete challenges to unlock the skin. This time, there are four challenges in total.
- Deal damage to players with the Sideways Scythe (150): Reality Render harvesting tool.
- Complete a Bounty from a Bounty Board (1:): Regal Visage spray.
- Get player headshots with the Sideways Rifle (2): Queen's Anthem music track.
- Glide in the smokestacks at Steamy Stacks: Queen's Procession glider.
Completing all of these Fortnite challenges will unlock the Islandbane Cube Queen skin.
