Epic Games recently teased the return of Tilted Towers in Fortnite, which may be added back to the battle royale map in an update coming tomorrow. Chapter 3 Season 1 introduced a plethora of new mechanics, from lighting strikes that grant speed boosts to Spider-Man web-slinging in Fortnite. While the new season brought natural disasters and a new superhero crossover, leakers have claimed future Fortnite patches could introduce the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and bring the Green Goblin to the battle royale.

Among its biggest changes, Chapter 3 introduced the battle royale’s third map since launch, filled with new POIs - half of which are covered in snow. From Chonkers Speedway to Condo Canyon to The Daily Bugle, the map holds plenty of new content to be explored. The third map, however, is missing Titled Towers, which is considered one of Fortnite’s best Points of Interest and landing spots. The POI, which included a set of high-rise buildings ripe for looting, was one of the battle royale’s longest-running locations before the map changed two years ago in Chapter 2. Last month, a leaker claimed Tilted Towers would return sometime during Fortnite Chapter 3. It was suggested that the snow covering the map will melt, revealing a number of POIs underneath including Tilted Towers.

On Twitter, Fortnite teased the return of Tilted Towers in a possible update coming tomorrow, January 18, writing “One more sleep,” followed by the skyline emoji, showcasing a line of high-rise buildings. Fans believe this is a reference to Tilted Towers, teasing at the return of one of the battle royale’s most popular POIs. The reference to “one more sleep” could mean one last night before Epic Games releases the patch, adding the POI to the updated battle royale map.

Epic Games hinted at Tilted Towers’ return in Fortnite art from Chapter 2 Season 8. The art accompanied news of Late Game Arena mode’s October 5 return, but fans noted Tilted Towers in the lower right corner. While the new tease does not outrightly say that Tilted Towers will return, the tweet is highly suggestive of an overnight update that will melt the snow, revealing high-rise buildings – likely Tilted Towers. Fortnite is no stranger to change considering huge storyline events consistently alter the battle royale. Therefore, it’s possible Tilted Towers will take on a new form, as it did in Season 5 when it merged with Salty Springs. It wouldn’t be surprising if the buildings got a makeover and the loot spots were moved.

Tilted Towers had many strategic advantages, especially at the start of a match. With its high-tier loot spots and many hiding places, players often flocked to the now-removed Fortnite POI. It’s possible the new Tilted Towers will have similar strategic advantages and could liven up the battle royale in many ways. With web-slinging, natural disasters, and a potential return of Tilted Towers, Fortnite Chapter 3 could shape up to be one of the game’s best chapters.
