Developer Epic Games recently teased Fortnite Chapter 3, hinting that the upcoming chapter's new map may feel like a whole new game - much like what players saw when the popular battle royale title moved into Chapter 2 in 2019. After two years, Fortnite Chapter 2 is set to conclude next week on December 4 with a big in-game event named "The End." Preparing for the installment's endgame, the expected monumental event will see players ultimately battle it out with the creator and leader of the Corruption Cubes, with a whole new world possibly revealed at its climax.

Fortnite Chapter 2's theme revolved around a new world and a new beginning. Though keeping its original mechanics, the chapter launched a brand new Apollo map and introduced features like a new progression system, vehicles, and NPCs that extended the popular online title's quality of life. That said, Fortnite Chapter 2 was heavily defined by its crossovers, having featured far more collaborations than the previous chapter. Characters from popular films, shows, and even other video games made special appearances, allowing players to take the form of their favorite pop culture icons by purchasing or unlocking cosmetics. Fortnite's latest Naruto crossover is a prime example, as the ongoing collaboration event brings character skins and locations from the popular anime series to Epic's battle royale game.

A new teaser from Epic Games gives a little bit more insight into Fortnite Chapter 3 without spoiling too many of its details. Posted on its official Twitter page, Epic Games shared an image of the original promotion image for Chapter 2's map, accompanied with a caption that hints Chapter 3's new map could be an entirely new world. While no further information is given besides mentioning "an undiscovered world with new secrets to unfold," some players think the Fortnite Chapter 3 map has already leaked.

Epic Games' cryptic tweet stirred its fan base, with many fellow Twitter users flocking to the post to disclose their own theories for the upcoming season. One user zoomed-in and screenshotted various details hidden throughout the original post's attached graphic, specifically highlighting the top right corner's area - which appears to be home to a power plant of some kind. Another fan posted pictures of one their previous Twitter threads, entertaining the idea that the game will eventually reveal a world comprised of six islands watched over by Fortnite's Imagined Order.

Fortnite Chapter 3 is set to begin on December 5 and Epic games' details pertaining to the online title's future remains scarce. While leaks come and go constantly, players don't have to wait much longer to see the brand new map themselves. Chapter 2 is set to end with a grand finale on December 4, so those interested will seen what changes are in store for the popular battle royale game.
