The latest Fortnite theory suggests another crossover with Stranger Things inspired by the release of the second volume of Stranger Things season 4, which may include the fan-favorite character Eleven. Stranger Things items were last available in the Fortnite Item Shop in July of 2019 following the release of Stranger Things season 3, and have not been available since November of the same year. Although fans have repeatedly asked for the items to be available once again, it's been suspected that licensing issues have prevented this.

While unconfirmed, many believe that Netflix ended contracts with multiple games. This would be the reason that the sale of Stranger Things content in Dead By Daylight and Fortnite was put to an end in 2019. Fans were quick to create multiple petitions urging for the content to remain available and now even more petitions are demanding that Netflix allow Epic to bring Stranger Things to the Item Shop once again, due to Stranger Things season 4's recent release. Luckily, this collaboration may be happening once again as soon as Stranger Things 4 Volume 2 is available on Netflix.

According to the popular and generally reliable Fortnite leaker FNBRintel, encrypted objects in Fortnite's files are pointing towards an Eleven skin coming out with the release of Vol.2 on July 1st. The encrypted set is supposedly titled "Waffle Warrior" and Eleven is known for her dedicated love of Eggo waffles throughout the Stranger Things series. The previous Stranger Things and Fortnite collaboration included Eleven's father figure Hopper and the hideous monster called the Demogorgon (who Eleven kills with her powers in the first season), so fans are anxiously anticipating the possible arrival of the face of the series herself.

The current summer season of Fortnite is already intriguing and fun to play, with Darth Vader and Indiana Jones taking the Fortnite spotlight as plot characters and playable skins featured in the Battle Pass. Marvel skins such as Spiderman Zero and the new Naruto Rivals skins have also been released in the past few weeks, so it seems that Chapter 3 Season 3 will be full of iconic characters alongside Fortnite's original content. Stranger Things getting re-introduced would just fuel the hype of Fortnite: Vibin' even further, especially since fans believed all hope for the collaboration was lost three years ago.

Fortnite crossovers are typically always welcomed by players, from Star Wars to Stranger Things and Marvel, or other games like Street Fighter, Among Us, and supposedly Fall Guys. Fans visit the Item Shop often to purchase the latest collaboration skins, emotes, and other items to show off their love for other media within Epic's battle royale. The latest rumors even suggest a Dead By Daylight x Fortnite crossover happening soon, which would provide even more horror content alongside this alleged Stranger Things collaboration.
