As part of Bushranger's unique strategy for dealing with the Alien Invasion in Fortnite Season 7, players will need to return to the Hatchery they built and visit a second one to stoke campfires. The Legendary Quests in Fortnite Season 7 have provided some of the largest XP bonuses available this season, but have also allowed players to participate directly in the story of the Alien Invasion. Each week, players have helped different NPCs with their unique approaches to thwarting, welcoming, or helping the Aliens. In Week 7, Bushranger will have players building and furnishing Hatcheries to raise Alien Parasites. A few stages after players construct a Hatchery, Bushranger will ask them to return and light or stoke the campfire there.

Stoking campfires in Fortnite Season 7 will require 30 Wood Materials, so players should be prepared to do some harvesting. This Legendary Quest is somewhat unique, as it takes place in the same three spots as the first Legendary Quest in Bushranger's sequence but can't be completed at the same time. As a reward for helping her, Bushranger will award players 30,000 XP toward their Season 7 Battle Pass when the job is done. Here's how to stoke campfires near Hatcheries in Week 7 of Fortnite Season 7.

How to Stoke Campfires Near Hatcheries in Fortnite Season 7

A player stokes a campfire in Fortnite Season 7

To stoke a campfire near Hatcheries in Week 7 of Fortnite Season 7, players will need to make sure they have enough wood. There are two ways to go about doing this. The easiest is to complete the quest in Fortnite's updated Team Rumble Mode. Despite recent changes, players still start the match with 150 of each material. That will be plenty of Wood to complete the challenge, with some left over. Otherwise, players will want to use their harvesting tool to break down trees and wooden furniture to get enough wood for the fires.

Players will need to return to two of the three possible Hatchery building sites from the first Week 7 Legendary Quest. The three building sites are located inside shacks and cottages on the coasts of the Fortnite island. It will likely be easiest for players to return to the site where they built their first Hatchery and one other location. Players will find Hatcheries in the following locations:

  • On the small island northeast of Stealthy Stronghold and northwest of Craggy Cliffs.
  • On the small island directly south of Slurpy Swamp.
  • On the hills southeast of Retail Row, on the southeastern coast of the map.

Because all three of these spots are so far apart on the map, players will either need to complete this challenge in multiple matches or plan to drive a car or fly a UFO to reach both in the same match.

Outside each Hatchery location, players should see a campfire. Though the wording of the Quest asks players to stoke the fire, some players have found that lighting it also counts toward completing this challenge. As an added bonus, players who have received any damage will gain some health back when lighting a campfire that has not yet been lit. To light or stoke a campfire in Fortnite, players simply need to approach it with 30 Wood in their inventory and interact with it.

Once players light or stoke the campfires near two Hatcheries, this Fortnite Week 7 Legendary Quest will register as complete, and players will receive their 30,000 XP. They will then unlock the final quest in the storyline, which tasks them with collecting Parenting Books at either Holly Hatchery or Retail Row.
