Star War's infamous bounty hunter, Boba Fett has officially dropped into Fortnite, allowing players to purchase the character in the MOBA's item store alone or as a part of a set that includes all of the character's special cosmetic items. Boba Fett was previously revealed to be coming to the popular battle royale title as a part of a crossover with The Book of Boba Fett. The upcoming Disney+ series will follow the Star Wars bounty hunter in a The Mandalorian spin-off; and now players can celebrate by purchasing and equipping the popular bounty hunter to help navigate its newest map.

As a free-to-play battle royale title, crossovers have played a vitally important role in Fortnite's short multiplayer history. Fortnite has seen collaborations with major franchises like Resident Evil, the NFL and beyond, and this has kept Fortnite's platform profitable (in addition to its microtransactions; which include virtual accessories, exclusive emotes, and new skins are highly valued by players). In its newly released Chapter 3, Epic Games revealed Fortnite's biggest crossover to date, bringing Marvel's fan-favorite superhero - Spider-Man - to the battle royale title, along with an inspired location and a new item that allows players to easily traverse around the map.

Fortnite Boba Fett Arrives

As the first Star Wars character to debut in Fortnite Chapter 3, Boba Fett's arrival isn't the first time Epic Games has revealed a crossover with the popular sci-fi franchise. During Chapter 2, Fortnite hosted a Rise of Skywalker tie-in event featuring a message from Palpatine and a brand-new scene from the movie. Additionally, popular characters from the Star Wars film way made their way to Fortnite; allowing players to purchase Kylo Ren, Rey, Finn, Zorii Bliss, and the Sith Trooper player skins.

Fortnite's popularity for crossover characters made it seem inevitable that Star Wars' Boba Fett would one day be playable. His iconic armor and voice have made him a staple of the Star Wars franchise, and now players can officially navigate the battle royale using the popular bounty hunter from space.
