Fortnite Season 6 has added a couple of new Mythic weapons that can only be obtained by beating the game's mini-bosses, and one of the game's Mythic items is an incredibly powerful shotgun that makes quick work of even the toughest opponents. The Spire Assassin's Primal Shotgun is one of the most coveted weapons in Fortnite at the moment, but it is also one of the most difficult to obtain.
Mythic weapons were introduced during Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 2. Players could obtain them by traveling to specific locations on the map and eliminating the mini-boss that patrols that location. In Season 5, players would have to find certain NPCs on the map and purchase Mythic weapons from them for large numbers of gold bars. Now, Fortnite Season 6 is returning to the good ole days of killing and looting for players to get the best equipment around.
How To Get Fortnite's Mythic Spire Assassin's Primal Shotgun
To get the new Spire Assassin's Primal Shotgun, players will need to hunt down and eliminate the Spire Assassin. This hostile NPC is the same as the Battle Pass tier 100 skin and can be found patrolling The Spire. This is a new POI at the center of the map that is also a part of Fortnite Season 6's opening cinematic. The Spire Assassin will be roaming around the city looking for players to take down, and she will be wielding her deadly shotgun and a Primal Rifle. Players will want to duck in and out of cover while fighting her as she has very accurate aim and deals a ton of damage. However, she can also teleport through walls and around corners making her very agile and even more dangerous. All the player needs to do is eliminate the Spire Assassin and she will drop her Mythic shotgun.
Players shouldn't confuse the giant spire and the Spire Assassin with the small spires guarded by Spire Guardians. These NPCs will also attack the player and teleport, but won't drop mythic weapons when defeated. Instead, Spire Guardians will drop special orbs that players can carry to The Spire to obtain the Mythic Spire Jumpboots. The guardians will also drop legendary or epic weapons, but they aren't as powerful as the Mythic Spire Assassin's Primal Shotgun.
