There are always new quests and challenges for players to complete in Fortnite. Every update to the game adds a whole new round of activities to complete in order to keep players coming back for more. This is one of the reasons that Fortnite has remained so popular over the last several years. One of the newest challenges is the Coral Buddies secret challenge.
This challenge tasks players with helping the Coral Buddies build some new structures. It is a relatively easy challenge to complete but can be very difficult for players to spot if they don't know exactly what to look for. On top of this, the challenge is actually split into two separate parts, which makes completing it a little more difficult. This guide is here to show players how to complete the Coral Buddies challenge.
Fortnite: How to Complete the Coral Buddies Challenge
The first thing that players will need to do is travel over to the Coral Kingdom area of the map and drop just west of Lockie's Lighthouse and North of the giant whirlpool. Once here players will find a small island that they can walk around on and explore. While walking around the island, players should keep an eye out for a group of small stone slabs surrounded by some Coral Buddies. Players will be able to offer up 300 stone to the Coral Buddies and they will then complete their project. This will finish the "Taught Coral Buddies Stonecrafting" portion of the challenge and award players with 25,000 XP.
After players complete the first part of the challenge, three other monuments will pop up in nearby locations., and players will need to rush over to them as quickly as possible to avoid the incoming storm. Once a monument has been found, players will just need to strike it with their pickaxe in order to build it into a sphinx. All three of these monuments will need to be built by the player in order to complete the second part of the challenge and to earn another 25,000 XP.
- Monument 1: Players will find the first monument at the base of Lockie's Lighthouse to the east of the island.
- Monument 2: Players will need to travel northwest of the whirlpool to find the monument on the shoreline.
- Monument 3: The final monument can be found on a small island just east of the whirlpool.
