Each week in Fortnite Season 7, players can expect to collect Alien Artifacts from around the map, and five more have been added in Week 9. Alien Artifacts are collectibles unique to Fortnite Season 7. They are also the currency players will need if they want to purchase more styles to customize the Kymera Tier One Battle Pass skin. Each futuristic Alien Artifact canister contains around four Artifacts that can be used to purchase new features, like eyes and jaw shapes, to use when styling the outfit. So far, players have only been able to collect five Alien Artifact canisters per week in Fortnite.
The Alien Artifacts in Week 9 of Fortnite Season 7 are located primarily indoors at named Landmarks around the map. Typically, players should not plan to collect more than one or two Alien Artifacts per match, as they tend to be very spread out even if players access a vehicle or hijack and fly a UFO. Every Week 9 Alien Artifact Location In Fortnite Season 7
The Alien Artifacts in Week 9 of Fortnite Season 7 are located primarily indoors inside huts scattered across the island. Though none of these specifically require players to build to reach them, there is at least one that is difficult to reach, located inside the dish at a Satellite Station. In this case, players may have an easier time collecting this Alien Artifact by landing at the Satellite Station directly from the Battle Bus.
Collecting Alien Artifacts, like completing weekly quests, may be easiest in Fortnite's Team Rumble Mode. Many players use this mode to complete challenges before starting to compete in the match, and eliminated players are often able to respawn and continue working on their quests or collections. As Alien Artifacts are always located in the same spots for all players, Team Rumble can ensure players are not met with hostility when trying to finish their challenge.
The Fortnite Season 7 Week 9 Alien Artifacts can be found in the following locations:
- In the center of Gas N' Grub, south of Corny Complex.
- On the Satellite Dish at Defiant Dish.
- In a hut on the northwest side of Weeping Woods.
- Inside Stack Shack off the west coast of the island.
- In the crawlspace of Unremarkable Shack on the island northwest of Craggy Cliffs.
Players only need to walk up to the Alien Artifact and collect it. Alien Artifacts can be collected in almost any game mode, excluding LTMs and Creative Mode. Similar to Epic Quests, Alien Artifacts in Fortnite Season 7 do not disappear at the end of the week. Players have the option to wait and collect these Alien Artifacts later, as long as they do so sometime before the end of Season 7.
Some Fortnite fans have speculated they may not get the opportunity to purchase all the customizable features for their Kymera skin using only the collectible Alien Artifacts released each week. Fans who want to unlock and collect every possible feature may want to open a Cosmic Chest with a team in Duos, Trios, or Squads. Drops from Cosmic Chests are random, but these Chests are the only other place players have a chance to access Alien Artifacts.
