To unlock more customizations and features for the Kymera skin in Fortnite Season 7, players will need to collect Alien Artifacts that appear in new locations each week. During Week 5 of Fortnite Season 7, five new canisters have appeared, primarily in or close to named locations on the map. Players can collect Alien Artifacts in the same locations around the Fortnite island in most game modes. They appear as futuristic floating canisters with glowing, pink rocks inside. Each container holds around four Alien Artifacts. They are one-time collectibles, however, meaning players can only claim them once.

While several of the Fortnite Season 7 Week 5 Alien Artifacts are located near one another, others are fairly spread out, meaning it may take players several matches to collect them all. Additionally, almost all the Alien Artifacts added in Week 5 can be found high off the ground in rafters, meaning players will need to destroy roofing and do some building to reach them. As in previous weeks, some Alien Artifacts may also drop at random from Cosmic Chests. Here's how to find all the Week 5 Alien Artifacts in Fortnite Season 7.

Fortnite Season 7 Week 3 Alien Artifacts

The Fortnite Season 7 Week 5 Alien Artifacts appear in two diagonal lines, one on the northwest side of the island, and the other on the southeast side. Because the Week 5 Alien Artifacts are most often found inside roofing, players should consider gliding to the top of each building, breaking the roof, and using the materials to build a platform large enough to reach the canister. It may also be beneficial to complete the search for Alien Artifacts in Team Rumble Mode since players are granted plenty of materials at the start of the match to build up with.

Players will find the Fortnite Season 7 Week 5 Alien Artifacts in the following locations:

  • On a hill under a tree east of Craggy Cliffs
  • In the rafters of the Gazebo in the center of Pleasant Park
  • Under the roof of the building southeast of the Pier at Believer Beach
  • Inside the top of the clock tower on the northwest side of Misty Meadows
  • Behind the bus stop on the southeast side of Retail Row

Alien Artifacts can be collected in almost any game mode, excluding any LTMs and Creative Mode games. During Week 1, it was also possible to collect them in Battle Lab, though it is not clear whether this works any longer. After collecting all five, players can choose whether to save them to purchase specific customizations for the Kymera skin or spend them in the Kymera customization menu.

Each week of Fortnite Season 7, a random number of Alien Artifacts may also be rewarded when teams open Cosmic Chests. Cosmic Chests will only spawn in Duos, Trios, or Squads and can only be opened by two or more players taking turns hitting the crystal's weak points. These are random drops, however, and are therefore less reliable than picking up the weekly collectibles. Fans should prioritize searching for the static Alien Artifacts first and supplementing what they find with potential drops from Cosmic Chests.
