There are seven new challenges players can complete in Fortnite Season 5 week 13, and most of them are as simple as visiting a location. Some challenges require players to interact with other players, but most of them can be completed without even picking up a gun. This challenge may have players wandering around the desert a bit as players will need to destroy some scarce objects that every other player will be targeting as well. Destroy Crystal Trees In Fortnite Season 5
Fortnite Season 5 saw the Zero Point rise above the surface turning a large portion of the game's map into a desert. This desert is also home to large purple crystal formations that jut out of the ground. If players destroy these crystals they will harvest brick, and upon being destroyed they will drop purple rock fragments that allow the players to teleport short distances. However, these formations are not what players are targeting this week. Instead, players will need to destroy five crystallized trees. These trees are native to the desert but are much harder to find than the large purple rocks. They look like pink trees that have lost all of their leaves and can be found around larger rock formations or landmarks.
The scarcity of crystal trees is what will make this challenge difficult. Other players will likely be racing to complete this challenge as well, and there aren't enough trees to satisfy every player's needs. This challenge may take several rounds to complete unless that player gets lucky and is able to find all five in a single match. Players can destroy them with any means necessary as long as they are the player that gets the last hit. Luckily, Fortnite's Sand Tunnel is enabled which provides a quick way for players to navigate the desert in search of the elusive crystal trees.
