With Darth Vader now introduced as a new boss in Fortnite's Season 3 Chapter 3, many fans are excited to take on the Dark Sith to see if they are just as skilled as him. However, while there's no doubt that he will provide players will an epic battle, the designers have also come up with some amazing new features and death animations.
Now that anyone can ride wolves and boars, they also have to face the possibility of being killed while trying to domesticate these animals. However, this is not the only random risk that Fortnite players face. Some of them may get a player killed in surprising and ridiculous ways if they're not careful enough. But it's okay since they can always get a good laugh out of it.
Burning Yourself With A Campfire
Fortnite players can restore the entirety of their health with a nice relaxing campfire. They just have to get closer to one and light it up. However, if they get too close to the fire, they can get burnt, which is especially a problem if a player's health is already very low.
It can be really upsetting if players manage to barely survive a formidable enemy and they end up dying because the campfire lost them the last few points of their health. Fortunately, players only have to be careful so they can avoid this horrible event ever happening to them. If they don't, at least they can always laugh about it.
Dying In The Storm
Fortnite forces players to meet each other by making the map gradually smaller. If people don't go to the safe zone, they risk dying in the storm, which takes a certain amount of life out of the character for every second they spend there. However, some Fortnite players have the bad habit of staying too long in the storm.
It's a very dumb way to die since the game tells players soon enough where the next safe zone it's going to be. On top of that, players can pack a lot of medicine to heal themselves. It can be very funny, though, when players are running as fast as they can so they don't die in the storm. It's even funnier if, on top of everything, they have to carry an injured teammate. The last straw sometimes is arriving at the safe zone only to be killed by other players waiting just outside the storm.
Someone Demolishing Your Building
This battle royale has an interesting characteristic: if a player manages to destroy every single part of a building that touches the floor, the whole building disappears, and all of the objects and people who may have been inside will fall out. It can be a good strategy to surprise unaware enemies, but players must be careful of accidentally not killing their teammates.
If a player is at the top of a building or a lookout tower, it can be very funny that the floor suddenly disappears from under their feet, mostly if it was their partner's fault. Some Fortnite players use this strategy to play pranks on their friends since it is was of the few ways in which they can kill their teammates.
Falling From Heights
Fortnite has a lot of locations in high places. One of the best locations in the game, Tilted Towers, has at least five huge buildings. There are also very tall trees or plateaus located in the desert. Even though Fortnite characters have gliders, players are not able to use them if they fall from these heights. If the player is lucky enough, they may get away with it with only a couple of points removed from their life, but sometimes, the character won't be able to survive a big fall.
Going on a roof to be able to have more visibility it's always a good idea, but if the player doesn't watch their step, they may die sooner than later. It can be very anti-climatic having an epic fight to the death and dying first just because they jumped just a little too far to the left.
Run Over By A Vehicle
This game has a lot of vehicles, and sometimes they add even more for different seasons. Some of them are deathlier than others, such as the battle bus. However, a good way of defeating an enemy is simply running over them, and it's even better if a player attaches a cow catcher to the car. The best part is that if the hit doesn't kill them, the fall surely will.
As frustrating as it is to die this way, it's also hilarious. The player's character flies away and falls to sure death. In a game that is supposed to be about mastery and dexterity, taking a car and simply starting to run over people adds a level of ridiculousness that's very much appreciated.
Throwing A Grenade Way Too Close
Grenades can be very useful: they provide an excellent distraction and they also can help to defeat enemies who get inside buildings or who build walls around themselves. However, players need to be very careful where they aim them because if they fall too close to them, they are surely going to kill them.
If someone is in the middle of a fight and they suddenly throw a grenade to their own feet, it's simply hilarious. Sometimes, in the middle of the chaos, it's hard to aim, and other times, the player wasn't even trying to use the grenade. Whatever the reason, it's a very funny accident.
Killed By An Animal
There are all sorts of animals in Fortnite: sharks, chickens, wolves, and boars. Unfortunately, none of them are really friendly - unless the player domesticates them, which is one of Fortnite's new features. Even though they're not particularly harmful, if the player is already amidst a fight or their life is already low, they may end up being killed by some of these creatures.
Sometimes players try to get powerful weapons from sharks, but these creatures are very aggressive. They even jump into the land to be able to take a good bite off of a character. Wolves are also very persistent in trying to hurt players. Whatever the animal, it's never an epic death.
Accidentally Attacking A NPC
Fortnite has a multitude of NPCs, some of them are aggressive and players are supposed to defeat them, but others are very amiable and they sell useful objects. However, if a player accidentally attacks them, they will do everything in their power to kill them.
There's nothing worse than trying to buy something from an NPC and pushing the wrong button at the wrong time. It's even worse if it happens at the beginning of the game, and the NPC starts attacking a player that doesn't even have a weapon on them yet. This is definitely a dumb way to die.
Crushed By A Tree Trunk
There are several types of trees in Fortnite, and most of them provide great cover. Some of them are also useful to get materials for building. However, players need to be careful with some trees because their trunks can fall on top of them. This can happen if an enemy shoots down the tree or even if the player is cutting it down for wood.
Dying because a gigantic trunk fell on top of the gaming character can be a real letdown. But in a game that's mostly about skill, it's always funny when something random, such as a huge tree trunk, is the player's demise.
Accidentally Shooting A Gas Pipe
Fortnite has some very realistic features, so when a player sees a gas pipe, they shouldn't believe it's simply ornamental. These pipes, just like in real life, are very dangerous. They can work in a player's favor if they shoot one that's close to an enemy, but it can also go very wrong if they shoot a gas pipe that's close to them.
Amidst the chaos, sometimes it can be a bit hard to focus on more than the people shooting at the player's character. So, it's pretty normal that a player ends up accidentally shooting a gas pipe and creating a huge explosion. It's even funnier if they manage to not only kill themselves but other people in the vicinity as well.
