If players are following the Fortnite Season 3 weekly challenges, they may notice a new designation pop up for the Week 6 challenge list: Rec 4 Players. While the note means exactly what it looks like it would, players may not immediately understand, as it is new to the game. Next to the challenge asking players to Search 100 Chests, they'll see Rec 4 Players, which simply means it is recommended that the player complete this challenge with a group of four players in Squads.

Because Chests are scattered around the map, finding all 100 alone can be a long process. If players work together to complete the challenge, all four (or two) will receive credit for every Chest opened by a player in the Squad or Duo. Some have taken this recommendation to mean players cannot complete this challenge outside Squads, which is not the case; players can search all 100 chests in Solos and earn the reward for completing the challenge. The note is just a recommendation from Epic Games for completing the challenge more quickly. Here's everything to know about Rec 4 Players in Fortnite Season 3 and how to complete the Week 6 challenge in Squads.

How to Complete a Challenge Listed as Rec 4 Players in Fortnite Season 3

Fortnite Gliding Golden Chest

Players can gather their friends this week to complete the challenge of searching 100 Chests at various locations around the Fortnite map. However, if that is not feasible, players can enter Squads game mode in the lobby and allow the game to autofill a Squad of four players. When playing in Squads, every chest any player searches counts for all players in the squad toward their challenge quota.

For the Week 6 challenge, since Chests searched anywhere on the map will count toward the 100 needed, players working together in Squads will want to choose a landing spot on the Fortnite map that may have a high concentration of chests to look through. However, most spots with lots of chests will be hard-fought, highly contested areas, and players will likely need to battle others for the loot and location. A way to balance this is to choose a spot that will have fewer foes but good access points to Chests. Players may want to consider Lazy Lake as one such location, with its many chests and various areas to land that won't result in an immediate battle or elimination.

To be clear, players can still complete the challenge and earn the XP toward their Battle Pass on Solos. But, as time ticks down, they have the option to work with others, either friends or random strangers.

Given this is a new suggestion for Weekly Challenges that's likely to continue into future weeks, players may want to gather some friends and take advantage of the chance to participate with another level of teamwork.
