One Fortnite player recently discovered that using pickup trucks is a good way to get downed teammates to safety in order to revive them. Fortnite introduced standard pickup trucks last summer during Chapter 2 Season 3's Joy Ride Update.

Joy Ride added a fleet of vehicles that included four different types of vehicles, namely pickups, semi-trucks, two-door sports cars, and four-door sedans. Compared to other vehicles previously available in the online experience, these four car types brought in a new level of complexity since each one boasted its own set of stats. For instance, the different models vary in terms of available passenger seats, fuel carrying capabilities, and health levels. And in addition to helping players navigate the island more quickly, these vehicle types also provide yet another way of easily dispatching enemies on the battlefield. Interestingly, Fortnite's pickup trucks boast somewhat of an extra bonus in their own right.

Reddit user NitroDameGaming recently shared a brief clip, informing fellow Fortnite players of a neat trick that helps when trying to revive downed friends. Players can pick up and place knocked down teammates in the back of a truck, a move that allows them to be moved and safely revived elsewhere. There are a couple of notable downsides to the strategy, though. For instance, those who place downed users in the truck bed will automatically get booted from the vehicle; as such, another friendly player must be in close proximity for the idea to work as intended. See the strategy play out in the video linked below:

The Fortnite Reddit thread is filled with other fans noting that such a feature would prove an exciting addition to the overall experience. It wouldn't come as too much of a surprise if developer Epic Games eventually explored the possibility itself. As things currently stand, truck beds remain fairly limited in terms of carrying capabilities, which include other players and gas cans.

Today, September 13, marks an important one for Fortnite faithful. Chapter 2 Season 7 has come to a close, ushering in the long-awaited rollout of Season 8. Epic celebrated the new season, entitled Cubed, by unleashing an all-new story trailer that teases the latest treat to the island's survival.
