Season 6 of Fortnite has introduced Mechanical and Primal weapon classes, and each class focuses on increasing either damage or efficiency. Players can craft Mechanical or Primal weapons from Makeshift weapons if they have the proper components. Primal weapons require animal bones which players can receive from hunting animals or breaking boney structures around the map. Mechanical parts are found inside cars or other metal equipment, and players will have to use their pickaxes in order to harvest them. Once a player has 4 of either, they can use the components to upgrade their makeshift weapons.
Crafting Every Mechanical Bow Variant in Fortnite
Fortnite's new Bows are different than every other makeshift weapon as they can be upgraded twice. There are two additional mechanical bow upgrades the player can choose from: the Shockwave Bow and the Explosive Bow. The Shockwave Bow can be crafted by combining a Mechanical Bow and two Shockwave Grenades. This will turn the bow into more of a traversal utility rather than a deadly weapon. This bow can still do damage on direct contact, but its main purpose is to launch players across the map. The Explosive Bow is crafting by combining a Mechanical Bow and six grenades. This means players will have to collect 2 full stacks of grenades to craft this weapon, but the Explosive Bow's destructive abilities make the hunt for grenades well worth it.
The Mechanical Bow only has two variants right now, but the Explosive Bow is one of the deadliest weapons in the game. The Shockwave Bow isn't nearly as powerful in terms of damage, but it does provide a reliable means of transportation. Both weapons still use normal arrows as ammo which is pretty easy to come by. This means that players will be able to use each of these bows more frequently than if they were to use the grenades by themselves. For players who want to rain destruction upon their opponents, or who want to zoom across the skies, the Mechanical Bow variants are the way to go.
