To celebrate Fall Guys becoming free on all platforms including the Epic Games Store, a crossover event between Fortnite, Fall Guys, and Rocket League allows players to earn rewards across all three games, including the Major Mancake Outfit in Fortnite that's got a cool hidden detail. Major Mancake features a unique, reactive quality that its predecessor, the original Mancake skin, doesn't have. To obtain the Major Mancake Outfit in Fortnite, players must participate in 100 rounds of Fall Guys, ensuring that they're logged in using the same Epic account for every game.
The collaboration between the three games comes a year after Epic Games bought Tonic Games Group, including Mediatonic, the creators of Fall Guys. In 2019, Epic Games acquired Psyonix, the San Diego-based video game developer that created Rocket League. The crossover event, known as the Crown Clash, allows players to unlock rewards for all three games until July 11, by playing rounds of Fall Guys. Players will earn rewards after playing 10, 20, 40, 70, and 100 rounds of Fall Guys, including Kudos, the in-game currency used to purchase cosmetics.
During the Crown Clash event, Fortnite players can earn cosmetics by playing rounds of Fall Guys, including the Major Mancake Outfit and its corresponding Sweet Clementine Pickaxe. A pancake-themed Back Bling, Emoticon, and Spray are also up for grabs. Major Mancake has a stack of pancakes for a head, like Mancake from Fortnite's Chapter 2 Season 5 Battle Pass, topped with syrup and a pat of butter. However, there's a small detail that differs between the two Outfits. The butter atop Major Mancake's head melts as the game progresses, a neat feature spotted by Reddit user unsureoftheplot.
Fortnite's Major Mancake Has A Surprise Reactive Feature
One commenter advised that the butter on Major Mancake's head doesn't just melt over the duration of the Fortnite game, but appears to be reactive, melting more with each elimination the player gets in-game. Though another commenter suggests that this also works with the original Mancake Outfit, this has been tested and the butter on Mancake's head doesn't appear to melt, regardless of game progress or eliminations. When Fortnite's Mancake and Major Mancake were used in a party side by side, only the butter atop Major Mancake's head was melted upon reaching a victory royale.
Fortnite players need to act fast if they want to unlock the Major Mancake Skin, as the Crown Clash event ends at 6AM ET on July 11. If players want to unlock Major Mancake in Fortnite, they'll have to play a hefty 100 games of Fall Guys. As an added perk, playing 100 games of Fall Guys will snag the player 3,800 Kudos to spend in the game's cosmetic store, though these can't be used to unlock Fall Guys' all-new Battle Pass. Fortunately, with only sixty players in each lobby, games go by relatively quickly depending on how many rounds of Fall Guys the player survives.
