Crossover-filled battle royale Fortnite may see the inclusion of a Loki skin very soon, as he's been officially teased and could likely come in Chapter 2, Season 7. A new image has been released by developer Epic Games that shows off a variety of new things, but the silhouette of what appears to be Marvel Comics' Loki suggests that the trickster is joining Fortnite in some capacity.

Recently, dozens of original Fortnite skins leaked out of an Epic Games survey, but the company has continued to keep future guest characters from other franchises under lock and key. The developer has a long history of landing a lot of high-profile of IP to use as character skins and more, with the likes of Master Chief, Kratos, and the Mandalorian all fighting alongside each other. These skins are often used to promote ongoing or upcoming projects starring these characters, and it appears that may also be the case with Loki if Epic and Disney make good on a new tease.

A new piece of official art for a Fortnite loading screen has been released to Fortnite Crew players (via Eurogamer), showing a heavily armored Cuddle Team Leader joining the battle (and a hooded Jonesy in the foregound). Although this futuristic-looking skin is front-and-center, the outline of Loki can be seen off in the background, complete with his iconic Chitauri Scepter. It's likely this will tie in with the upcoming Loki TV series on Disney+, which will show with the trickster god hopping between various dimensions and universes. Given the show is scheduled to release its first episode on June 9, just two days after the start of Fortnite Chapter 2, Season 7.

Fortnite Seems To Be Teasing Loki

There's no telling whether or not Loki will be sold separately or be part of the game's battle pass, but it should be a fun and exciting inclusion for fans. It's not the first time the MCU has crossed-over with Fortnite either. In the lead-up to Avengers: Endgame's premiere, there was a massive event where players could play as Earth's Mightiest Heroes against Thanos in a fight for the Infinity Gauntlet. The limited time event was a fun celebration and showed the potential of the game's future, and a similar event with Loki can't be fully ruled out.

With skins being such a big money maker for Fortnite and creators, it's likely that these kinds of promotions and cross-overs will continue to be aggressively sought after by Epic. For right now, there appears to be no end for Fortnite as it dominates the industry and continues to push the boundaries of the medium with its exciting yet strange innovations, such as a Loki crossover.
