Season 6 of Fortnite is finally here, and as always it has a lot of new features for players to discover. The most game-changing updates from Fortnite Season 6 so far are the addition of crafting and wild animals. These two new features go hand in hand as players can craft much without Animal Bones, and they may want to craft a Hunter's Cloak to make killing Fortnite's wildlife a little easier.

Each new season of Fortnite adds a game-changing mechanic that players have to adapt their playstyle to and that adds another layer to the robust battle royale experience. Season 5 populated the map with friendly NPCs that radically altered how Fortnite is played, and Season 6 builds on that feeling of survival by adding crafting and wild animals. Players will need to collect a few components such as Animal Bones and Mechanical Parts in order to start crafting, and one of the first items they might want to craft is the Hunter's Cloak.

Crafting The Hunter's Cloak In Fortnite

Fortnite Season 6 Hunters Cloak Recipe

Unlike a lot of the other crafting recipes in Fortnite, the Hunter's Cloak recipe doesn't require a weapon. In fact, players can collect every component they need for the recipe from animals. Wolves, warthogs, and chickens can be found around the map and killed for their meat and bones. To craft the Hunter's Cloak, players will need two Animal Bones and one piece of meat. By selecting the meat from the crafting menu players can choose to craft a Hunter's Cloak which will consume the meat. Killing a single wolf or warthog will give the player enough components to craft this item while players will have to kill multiple chickens to get enough components.

While it may not seem like a very useful item at first, the Hunter's Cloak allows players to avoid detection from aggressive animals. Wolves and warthogs will attack players and each other when detected, but the Hunter's Cloak allows the player to hide in plain sight. Players can use the Hunter's Cloak an unlimited number of times, and the effect only goes away when the player fires their weapon or takes damage. This means players hide among a pack of wolves and strike their opponents at the right moment.
