Vehicle Mods are a new feature added in Fortnite chapter 3, season 2. These mods allow players to alter the various vehicles that can be found around the battlefield to be more dangerous and versatile. With the conclusion of the last season, the fan-favorite Spider-Man Web-Shooters have been put into the Fortnite vault. It was an item that made it easier than ever to get around the map. By shooting webs at high-up structures, players could swing to far-off locations before sending out another one. With this item removed from the game, new vehicles mods have been added as a mobility replacement.

While vehicle mods have been in the game for a few seasons, including Off-Road tires in Fortnite, chapter 3 season 2 has its own batch of new mods. For starters, the Cow Catcher is a barrier that can be applied to the front of vehicles. It makes it easier to dash through structures, clear paths, and defend against incoming bullets from enemy players. Unfortunately, vehicle mods are found separately from the vehicle themselves, so players have to search around for all the correct pieces. On the bright side, there are a handful of locations where players won't need to go far to create the perfect vehicle.

Two major areas around the map make it super easy to mods vehicles. The first area is in Chonker's Speedway, found at the southern end of the map, where many sports cars will spawn every match. If the player lands directly on the racetrack, they will discover modded vehicles waiting to be collected. Alternatively, those looking for the Cow Catcher can potentially find it inside nearby buildings. Since this is still a battle royale, there's no guarantee it will appear in this area, but this is the best place to look.

The second area will be one of the many gas stations found around the map. These typically have a garage loaded with Off-Road Tires, Cow Catcher, and other valuable loot items. There's also a small convenience store with registers to steel for gold. After collecting the mod, players can select it from the hot bar and throw them directly at the vehicle the player wishes to apply the mods to.

It will automatically attach, and the vehicle will be combat-ready. Vehicles have always been the most consistent way to get around the map quickly. Many players are eager to clear Fortnite's Battle Pass by completing challenges, and vehicles will make that process much easier. It's important to make sure to have a vehicle with a sufficient number of doors relative to the number of players on the team.
