The latest music concert to take place within Fortnite saw Ariana Grande take to the stage for the Fortnite Rift Tour celebrations, and fans of the game already think they know who the next celebrity appearances will be. Halsey and Dua Lipa are expected to soon be showing up in the Epic Games title, with one eagle-eyed player believing they've found proof.

Fortnite's Rift Tour event is one of a growing list of in-game concerts which have been hosted within the free-to-play battle royale. Fans of Grande logged into Fortnite to take part in the special event from August 4 to August 8, enjoying a pop music takeover which also included music from the likes of Sia and Marshmello. Previous in-game Fortnite events have included movie screenings of Christopher Nolan films, and a virtual Fortnite concert from Travis Scott. The future of the game's celebrity events looks just as bright as its past if speculation is to be believed.

Reddit user Necessary-Bluebird-9 thinks Fortnite's next big celebrity event could star both Halsey and Dua Lipa (via Dexerto). The user took to Reddit to share their very interesting discovery, noting that Epic Games Chief Creative Officer Donald Mustard is following both artists on Instagram despite only following 23 people. While no means confirmation of the stars' collaboration with Fortnite, it is a surprising social media choice, especially so soon following the Rift Tour.

Fortnite's in-game events, whether they be social events like the Rift Tour or gameplay events like the introduction of new seasons, are known to attract millions of players, so it would make sense for Epic Games to already be planning its next big venture with superstars already signed up. The company has yet to announce just many people logged into the game to take part in the Ariana Grande event, but if the numbers come close to the Travis Scott Fortnite concert held in 2020, Epic could be announcing a concurrent playercount of over ten million.

Whether or not Mustard's Instagram activity is a hint at what's to come in Fortnite remains to be seen, but it will likely be a while before fans find out. Lots of planning is required to ensure any virtual concerts held in the game are a success, and it could be a long wait to find out more. While the game's long-term plans are shrouded in mystery, there's still plenty to look forward to in the ever-evolving world of Fortnite. Many may be eagerly looking forward to the next concert, but others are dissecting everything shown in the Rift Tour, which some believe contained clues hinting at the return of Fortnite's Kevin the Cube. Hopefully Epic Games will be able to clear up some of the mysteries in the coming months.
