After being shown off during the Fortnite Season 6 release trailer, players have wondered how to craft or purchase the new Grappler Bow. This utility/weapon is another addition to the arsenal of bows introduced this season, but it can't be crafted or found in chests like the others. This guide will show players where they can find Fortnite's grappler bow and how it's used.

Bows aren't new to Fortnite, but Season 6 has added a lot of new bow variants. These include the Flame Bow which can set structures on fire, the Explosive Bow which produces a volley of grenades on impact, the Shockwave Bow which sends players flying with the low gravity effect, and the Stink Bow which produces a cloud of stink gas on impact. They can be crafted using the necessary materials which are scavenged from structures and wildlife located around the map. Additionally, bow variants can rarely be found inside chests or on the floor.

Getting Fortnite Season 6's Grappler Bow

Fortnite Lara Croft NPC Location

The Grappler Bow is one of Fortnite Season 6's new exotic weapons which means it can only be obtained by purchasing it from an NPC. Lara Croft, one of this season's crossovers and main battle pass characters, will sell players the Grapper Bow for 500 gold bars. Croft can be found patrolling Stealthy Stronghold which is located in the northern region of the map. Her location is also marked on the map above.

The Grappler Bow is similar to the now-vaulted Grappler. The plunger-esque grappling hook was limited by its short range and small clip, but the Grapple Bow remedies these issues. The Grappler Bow may take longer to fire, but it has a longer range allowing players to grapple structures that are farther away. As well, the Grappler Bow doesn't have a hard limit of 10 shots. The bow's supply of arrows can be replenished by looting chests and ammo crates. As well, shots from the grapple bow actually do damage when they hit an enemy player. The arrows do 89 damage to the body while The Grappler had no effect on opposing players. The Grappler Bow will prove to be a fantastic weapon and utility when it comes to quick rotations, gaining the high group, or escaping from enemy players.
