With the emergence of the Cube Queen in Fortnite’s latest update 18.21, players have been presented with the Halloween Pumpkin Launcher and the comeback of the fan-favorite Witch Broom. To complete the new Fortnitemares event quests, players will need both of these items and a lot of candy. Although finding the Pumpkin Launcher and Witch Broom often involves a measure of luck, there are ways for players to increase their odds.
The Witch Broom is a Mythic item that allows players to fly and explore the map more easily. The Halloween Pumpkin Launcher is a weapon with a decent area of effect and damage but a relatively slow rate of fire. Both items can be very useful and can enable new playstyles during the Fortnitemares 2021 event.
The new quests include consuming 15 Halloween candy, eliminating an enemy with the Halloween Pumpkin Launcher, and landing five times after using the Witch Broom. To get a Pumpkin Launcher, players can purchase it from one of the NPCs on the Season 8 map, but, to get a Witch Broom, they will need to keep an eye on the ground.
How to find the Halloween Pumpkin Launcher and the Witch Broom in Fortnite
The key to finding the Witch Broom is knowing it spawns as floor loot. Because of this, players are more likely to find this Mythic item in areas where there is a lot of loot. The new area added with the update, Cube Town, is one of those places. However, because it is new, it might not be one of the best landing spots in Fortnite at the moment, as it will most likely attract a lot of players. Other areas, such as the Alien Crash Sites, also have a lot of floor loot and might prove a bit safer for players to search when seeking a Witch Broom.
Fortunately, finding the Halloween Pumpkin Launcher does not have to be as reliant on luck. A new Fornite NPC can be found at the Dusted Depot, east of the Convergence, as shown in the map above. This mummy-like character named Graven will sell a Halloween Pumpkin Launcher to players for 600 Gold. If players are looking for alternative ways to acquire this weapon, their best bet would most likely be the Sideways. This area has plenty of boxes that drop rarer loot, which can include the Pumpkin Launcher. However, it also tends to attract a lot of players during landing and can be quite dangerous.
