20th Century Studios' Free Guy counts as the latest movie crossover for Fortnite; thus, for a limited time, players have the chance to get their hands on content related to the Ryan Reynolds-starring film. Heavily inspired by video games, Free Guy revolves around the titular Guy, a bank teller who discovers he's locked in an online game whose servers will soon shut down.

It's not the only summer blockbuster making the jump to Fortnite, either. Earlier this month, The Suicide Squad's Bloodsport, played by Idris Elba, landed on the island, bringing with him a Harvesting Tool, four Suicide Squad Sprays, a Weapon Wrap, and a Starro Sample Back Bling. Another DC character recently joined the fray, too, as Superman flew into Fortnite just a couple of days ago on August 10. Starting today, players can access a different character's muscle-bound alter ego.

According to Epic Games, from August 12 to September 6, Fortnite will play host to Free Guy Quests, which users can begin by visiting in-game ATM machines. Guy's muscular alter ego, the not-so-good guy named Dude, is expected to hit the Item Shop later today at 8:00 PM ET. Those who unlock Dude will gain access to his skin, as well as the Good Guy Emote, both of which are on display in the following post from Fortnite's official Twitter account:

What exactly Dude will bring to the table in terms of skills remains unclear; however, he's bound to at least prove competent when the chaos of a Fortnite match gets a little too hairy. And though he'll only appear in the Item Shop for a handful of weeks, those interested in the character should have plenty of time to see what Dude is made of.

Free Guy's content will come to an end just days before Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 7 ends on September 12. Naturally, Chapter 2 Season 8 should kick off in earnest shortly thereafter, though Epic Games has yet to unleash its official release plans. Rumors and leaks suggests the publisher has a few surprises in store, one of which may include the advent of a Naruto bundle.
