A new emote featuring the popular Wakandan salute from Marvel’s Black Panther has made its way to Fortnite, available for free to all players. A current series going on that’s celebrating community screenshots is focusing on the popular emote, so Epic Games has released the emote for everyone to use.
There has been a good amount of new items and skins that have been added to the Item Shop on Fortnite in the last week. Recently, the new The Walking Dead skins were released for players to use and were available to buy through a combined pack. Just this week, a leak revealed several pickaxes and back blings that are specifically related to Marvel characters, such as Captain Marvel and Black Panther, alluding to new skins that will come out.
With this emote coming out, Epic Games is celebrating the Wakandan king starting on December 21. But, players can only achieve this emote if they participate in Wakanda Forever Challenges that will be taking place on the game from December 21 to January 12. Once the emote is unlocked, this whole entire week will be focused around the usage of the item and showing it off to the community, using the hashtag #Fortography to share on Twitter. Not only was there a new emote released, but a new trailer is premiering soon, showing off the more goodies that players are sure to get as the week goes by and they begin the challenges.
Since some new possible skins have already been leaked, many fans are wondering what might be next for the game considering the last season was completely focused around Marvel characters. With characters added like Kratos from God of War and Master Chief from Halo, there’s plenty of options to choose from. If a new Wakanda forever emote is making its rounds, there might be a Black Panther skin right around the corner.
These challenges aren’t the first ones that Fortnite players have participated in, with weekly challenges going up quite regularly in the game, so the opportunity to play as one of Marvel’s most-known superheroes will surely interest players who just recently spent a whole entire season battling in the Nexus Wars. Season five has been filled with plenty of new surprises that have come out in the last month. While it would be difficult for Epic Games to keep up that pace, it seems that there are still exciting additions to come.
