Chapter 2 Season 6 of Fortnite introduced The Foundation, who eagle-eyed players suspect is based on none other than film star and former WWE wrestler Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson. When the armored hero first appeared during the Chapter 2 Season 5 Zero Crisis Finale cinematic, some wondered who was hiding behind the new skin's mask.

Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 5 ended on Tuesday with an action-packed cinematic video and a single-player mission alongside Agent Jones. The Zero Point, the focus of the season, had become unstable, and Agent Jones set out to control it before it destroyed existence. He decided to seek help from The Seven, a mysterious organization first mentioned in Chapter 1 Season 4. The leader of The Seven, called The Foundation, crashed to the island in a meteor pod, dressed in full-body mechanical armor. He agreed to help Agent Jones take care of the Zero Point, and later sacrificed himself by sealing himself to the disruptive hole in reality. The Foundation appears to be one of the Fortnite Season 6 skins, though a release date is to be determined.

Fans have speculated that the leader of The Seven is inspired or portrayed by Johnson, and there is some pretty compelling evidence. As Reddit user matteoiceman pointed out, an element on The Foundation skin's chest is in the same spot as the focal point of Johnson's chest tattoo, and the entire blue section of The Foundation's surrounding armor matches the tattoo's shape. The resemblance is uncanny in the below side-by-side comparison. Another piece of evidence comes from credible dataminer HYPEX, who shared in a now-removed tweet that The Foundation's files include a "DJ" voice pack, which suspiciously matches up with the star's initials.

The most telling evidence comes directly from Dwayne Johnson's Instagram account. The same day as the Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 5 finale, March 16, the actor posted an Instagram video in which he wanted to make it very clear that the date was March 16. He spoke about the importance of the day, and at the end, he referenced "The Foundation." The reference also appeared in the caption. It's not yet been officially confirmed that Johnson is The Foundation, but all signs are pointing to yes.

The potential Fortnite collaboration comes in the same week that Johnson teased his partnership between Xbox and his ZOA energy drink, so it's possible that the movie star is broadening his horizons further into gaming. If Johnson is going to appear more in Fortnite as The Foundation (and his likely future forms), this means players will likely see him play the character on his journey with Agent Jones to find the crytpic "sisters."
